I have done physical therapy which helped some and I've tried medications but ultimately that's just managing the symptoms when they occur instead of helping to prevent them or lessen their frequency. Several friends recommended that I try a chiropractor, Dr.D in particular and I'm really glad that I did. In the time that I've been a patient my back pain has become much less severe and in fact is nearly gone right now and I feel confident that the next time my back acts up it will be much more manageable with Dr.D's help. I also talked to Dr.D about my headaches that I have had pretty much my entire life (my official diagnosis is chronic headaches) a couple of times per week and I'm absolutely elated to report that after having him work on my neck a bit I have only had two minor headaches in the last MONTH! That's huge for me. If you have ever though about trying chiropractics I can now say that I recommend that you do! I can also say that Dr. Dahlkamp is very professional, very friendly and really listens to his patients. The office is very spacious and very comfortable as well and they have nice equipment. Let me start by saying that I found Dr. Dupont and his practice by accident but I am sooooo very…read morehappy that I did. I was looking for a doctor to help with my nutrition and diet. When I searched on HealthGrades, Dr. Dupont came up because he helps with nutrition as a part of your overall care if you're one of his chiropractic patients. I went in with no expectations other than the fact that at some point, I'd get some help with my food. MAN! I had misalignments all over the place! I had what looked like early scoliosis, and hips that were not set evenly. I'd had so many difficulties in the gym with getting more weight in on my reps, or even getting very low in a squat. After my first adjustment, I saw an immediate difference in my gym life. Dr. DuPont explained how the spine works and why those small misalignments make such a big difference. He is so thorough and so caring. He explains things in such detail that at one point in one of my appointments, I felt bad because I worried for whoever was after me. He really takes his time answering your questions! The strangest thing about the adjustment was feeling crooked afterwards. Your body gets so used to being out of wack that when you straighten up, it feels wrong. But I'm getting used to being "straight" now haha. The receptionist is such a sweetheart, always smiling and friendly. They also have a massage therapist on site who I have affectionately started calling "angel hands"....
