Christina picked up and told me to be safe and come right on in! Naturally I was on my way to work and had meeting after meeting booked so I felt a little flustered when I arrived. Christina took my information and was incredibly friendly and professional. She immediately came out side and did a report on my car and took the tire lock. I went inside and worked on my computer while they fixed up the tire. The location was pretty busy and had many people coming in and out during this time. I was very surprised when less than 60 minutes later my car was patched up and ready to go. Turns out I had a nail in my tire. I work in construction so this wasn't much of a surprise. 5 stars for the tech that fixed my tire and 5 stars for Christina!

I was able to get in on short notice and Christina (hope I spelled was amazing at helping me through the process. I had some tough questions about latex allergies and tires, and she did the research and found answers without hesitation. Murphy's law ...the tire could not be plugged as the puncture was right next to the only other plug repair in any of my tires...not stable enough to repair. I was able to get two new tires for the back right away, and the warranty from my original tire (purchased from KalTire) helped reduce the costs. Maybe it was a mistake, but the response was to refund my credit card for the service?? It's not a refund if there was no service performed. I called the last shop to verify the make an model of the filter that they had installed and it's the one still installed (ACDelco). I called Midas and asked what filter they had installed and their records showed Purolator. I wanted more than a refund this is ridiculous, and possibly fraudulent. If it was a mistake then the fact that they overbook so much that this can happen is ridiculous. I have and sent them the pictures clearly showing this is not a new filter, but I got a refund on services not provided.

I went in and confirmed in person and mentioned I had selected the "inspection" option on my appointment, and that I wanted to "wait for my vehicle". When I dropped it off they told me they couldn't do it while I waited (so it took ALL DAY). I had my tires swapped and they didn't do the inspection. When I asked about it they said to bring it back in a few weeks when it was less busy. When I called back to arrange, the lady on the phone was only interested in telling me they don't do inspections, even though it had been acknowledged by management already. She finally conceded and I was given a time to come. When I arrived I couldn't even get on the lot it was so packed, even though they told me to come at that time. While I was parked on the side of Danforth with my hazards on, waiting, the same lady came out to talk to me, so I said "I'd rather not argue with you" as I had no interest in going over it again. She then walked back to the lot and audibly called me an asshole to the manager, who was moving cars. When I confronted him about it he said he'd "talk to her". I asked for an apology and was told "I can't make another adult apologize". That goes for employees too I guess. He said he would call me back about the inspection and didn't. Wow is all I can say. Zero stars.

They suggested an air filter change as it was dirty. I said go ahead. Should have priced it first but that is my issue. Upon picking up the vehicle the total was now $171.29!! That means the air filter and labour to install was $102.61! I was a but shocked at the time but paid the bill. After researching online with prices I called them back to report my displeasure with the amount. They were not impressed and simply claimed that it was normal amount for what they did.

Approximately 27 MONTHS LATER, I was advised that the same exhaust component needed to be replaced AGAIN. In my opinion, that is an unacceptable lifespan for a repair of this nature and raises serious questions about the quality of the part supplied, the installation, or the original repair. I retained the invoice and photographs and subsequently examined the components on the vehicle. Rather than reassuring me, what I found left me with MORE questions about exactly what was installed in 2024 and why I was facing the same repair again barely two years later. This is what concerns me most: customers generally cannot crawl underneath their vehicles and verify expensive repairs themselves. We PAY professional mechanics because we TRUST them to install the parts we paid for and perform the work competently. After this experience, that trust is gone. I brought my concerns directly to Frank, the Service Manager (Habib the owner refused to speak with me). Frank refused to answer any of my questions and did not provide an explanation. My advice to other motorists is simple: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. KEEP YOUR INVOICES. PHOTOGRAPH THE PARTS. ASK TO SEE WHAT WAS REMOVED. GET A SECOND OPINION.
