From the very beginning, Matt was lovely to work with. He's down to earth, extremely outgoing and so humourous! Our engagement photos were a breeze even though I went in feeling uncomfortable in my own skin, he made us feel like we had known him forever, and wasn't judgemental at ALL. I truly felt like I could be myself around him which helped make our picture taking process fun! If you've ever had the honour to view his photos, you would know that he does amazing work. His constant upgrades to his photography background allows him to give his all into every piece of work he does, which in turn makes gorgeous photos regardless of the occasion. Getting a photographer was top on our to-do list. We knew that whatever photographer we hired had to have the style that both me and my fiancé were looking for. Throughout our search, budget was a concern. You could say we had expensive taste. We also wanted someone who "clicked" with us and was easy to get along with but was also willing to work with our outgoing adventurous personalities. We came across Matt the owner of MTH Photography, while we were searching hashtags on Instagram for photographers and we were blown away with his work. After some research into MTH Photography we both agreed to contact Matt. We wanted to be sure that who we hired was in the industry for the long haul and was passionate about their work. We had our fears, just like any couple would. We feared that because our wedding was over two Years away that if he wasn't invested into his business he might not deliver. We feared that the investment price would be over our budget as his photography work was art, it was breathtaking. We feared about communication and professionalism. NONE of these fears came true, instead, Matt went above and beyond our expectations. His level of commitment to photography is shown in his continuous learning and skill upgrading. The investment pricing was very reasonable in relation to his photography art work. Matt's communication and level of professionalism put me and my fiancé at ease. Matt kept us informed and provided ideas for the photoshoot. In the day's leading up to the photoshoot he provided tips and was the little voice in the back of my head so that I didn't forget anything! He maintained a level of professionalism while still making the relationship feel like "friends". We met Matt in-person prior to our engagement shoot, this meeting helped us feel comfortable in-front of the camera. During our shoot we felt relaxed, we laughed and joked. We where in good hands, Matt made us feel like friends rather than clients. Matt went over different positions and terms that he would be using throughout the shoot, he talked us through everything, every step of the way. He brought along a mistletoe that we used in the shoot and he helped co-ordinate wardrobe. Matt went beyond the role of a photographer, he became a designer, a stylist, and an art director. Our favourite part of the shoot was the adventure down to the river form the Elora, ON lookout area. The stairs where snow covered, but Matt and my fiancé helped me down, as I was in heels. Matt was always willing to help and to go the extra mile to get the perfect shots. He came prepared with a change of clothes and shoes, and good thing cause in order to get the perfect shots he had to go into the water! If anyone was to ask me about a photographer, I would recommend Matt and MTH Photography in an instance. Matt surpassed our expectation, he made our photoshoot enjoyable with his humor and stories. His creativity and keen eye for detail is proven in the photos he has taken. Matt became a friend, we forgot at times that he was a photographer and that he was taking photos.
