This year, I made the difficult decision to remove my front lawn and xeriscape it instead. I…read morecontacted Mortensen's Landscape and Irrigation and was promptly given an estimate and the opportunity to pick out the materials I wanted for the job. The hardest part was choosing from the vast selection of rock and boulders! This morning, the crew arrived, unloaded their equipment, and got right to work. By noon, the lawn was gone, the area leveled, the weed barrier down, most of the river rock put out, and the flagstone for the walkway in place. These young men were credibly patient and understanding when I asked if they would switch out one of the stones. Then they did the fill-in and set the flagstone. Shortly after, the boulders arrived, and they were, once again, exceedingly patient and kind to set them just where I wanted them. Each member of the crew paid close attention to detail. They cleaned up the job site beautifully. It all took less than six hours!!! The end result? More than I even dreamed! I could not be more pleased! They made sure everything was to my satisfaction before I paid the second half of the bill. That is how you do business! This area will now be extremely low-maintenance and be much more water resource-friendly! Growing up on a farm, I am well aware we have dirt that blows in and often brings gnarly little weed seeds that will eventually find their way into the rocks. But guess what...THAT HAPPENS!!!!
