The restaurant looks very fresh and new with modern decor. Hands down the best walleye I have had. The breading was light and very flavorful. It had a delicious light sauce that it was sitting in that made it literally melt in your mouth. The mashed potatoes are already seasoned to perfection so no extra seasonings needed. My husband sand his sandwich with as delicious but agreed my fish was 12/10!

It is quite small inside and is definitely not suitable for large groups. I also felt the seating prioritized style over comfort. This is your typical millennial trendy burger joint that serves water with no ice in a small glass, has higher prices for the portions you are getting, and seems to just have one or two people working. Service was a little slow as it picked up around dinner time. For food, I got the dry rub wings and mac n cheese. My friend got a burger and chips and queso. The food is pretty good. I liked the wings, they had quite a kick to them, and the fries and queso were good. I was not impressed with the mac n cheese. Since Rockford is a small town, I am sure this place fills a void with the limited options they have but I also don't need to return.

While there is signage in both the front and the rear of the building you could easily mistake this place for a dive bar or even being shut down. I assure you, it's not. Once you walk in you notice a beautifully decorated lounge. Floor to ceiling mirrors ans drapes make the room appear much larger than it is. Nice leather chairs creating little seating areas and the bar can hold about 12 people. There is lots of music/musician memorabilia on the walls and some fun fixtures. Our party of 7 took up the last available seats in the otherwise packed house. We were greeted by a very busy, yet smiling, owner, Angie. She let us know she had a few drinks to make and would be back to take our order. She was the only one behind the bar and was struggling a bit to keep up. Had lots of hustle, though. The wait was a little longer than one would like be but not bad. The drinks were worth the wait. Our party of 7 all ordered something different and we all very much enjoyed our drinks. On top of well made cocktails, the prices were more than reasonable - all between $9-$12 a drink. I very much enjoyed my experience and would absolutely recommend this little lounge.

This is a place we look forward to trying every time the season changes (and definitely the place your local family/friends want gift cards to). My fiancé had the Bahn Mi, I had the Beef Braised Tacos, and we shared the pierogis. Everything was great (and we loved the selection of NA cocktails)! Perfect for a date night

Although it's a bit of a hike outside the city, still not too bad on a weekday and it was nice to get out and try something new! It seems like an up and coming area for Monticello and development nearby. We came right at 5 when the restaurant opens and got a seat in the high tops. NOTE! If you want to partake in the happy hour, you have to either sit at the bar or in the high top tables. We didn't know this and wanted their chicken wings on the happy hour menu so ended up switching tables. In addition to the wings, my husband ordered the corn bread app which was pretty good too! Wasn't a huge fan of the spicy butter it came with, but strange but the bread itself was good. The wings had a good seasoning and the house made ranch was really tasty! Surprised there were only wings and no drumsticks which I prefer and the wings themselves didn't have a whole ton of meat on them so I'd give it 3/5 on the apps I ordered the 12oz New York strip and at market price it was $62, came with broccolini and French fries. My husband got the turkey burger which he wasn't a huge fan of he said but he enjoyed the fries. My New York strip wasn't seasoned well - if at all to be honest but thankfully they had some leftover A1 from Mother's Day brunch where the bartender made some bloody Mary's so that helped. Can't say the food was a knockout but the service was really good. The bartender who was our server was conversational, great dude, and offered great suggestions. Host and folks were also really accommodating when we hopped around the restaurant so we could participate in the HH. All in all, great experience and nice place to try!
