Although it wasn't very busy, service upstairs was fairly slow, and several nearby tables also seemed to be waiting a while for food or checks. For drinks, we ordered the Boardwalk Lemonade, which was sweet and refreshing, and their version of an Aperol Spritz, which had a beautiful presentation. My dad's Baked Brie Burger was delicious--the fig jam paired perfectly with it, and the waffle fries were fried to perfection. I ordered the Mr. Beautiful Burger, which tasted great at first. Unfortunately, I felt VERY sick almost immediately after eating. I can't say for certain what caused it, but since my dad didn't try my burger and felt fine after his meal, I suspect mine may not have been cooked properly. Bar area is filthy. The guy that cooks the food also runs the bar. So he is prepping and cooking…read moreyour food. Than goes back to making drinks, touching dirty glasses, swiping credit cards, grabbing pens that customers touched, touching the POS kiosk, running his hands through his hair, Than right back to cooking burgers, plating potato chips, grabbing rolls. All without washing hands and no gloves. Never seen hand washing once. The only time they use gloves is when he touches the raw meat. Other than that it is a germ fest. Anytime I've ever seen a bar have a grill at the bar in any other establishment....they always have a dedicated line cook to prevent contamination and concentrate on cooking, line prep, and using proper cleaning techniques.....Burger was nothing special either, too much bread to meat ratio.
