We were passing through the area on the freeway and wanted lunch, so Yelp directed us into Sidney to Murphy's. It was about 100 times better than settling for the fast-food options near the freeway. We had burgers and truffle fries. The burgers were flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The truffle fries were crisp, well seasoned, and had enough truffle flavor to stand out without overpowering the meal. What made the stop especially memorable was the contrast between old and new. Downtown Sidney feels like stepping into another era, with historic storefronts and the beautiful courthouse anchoring the center of town. Murphy's, by comparison, feels modern, clean, and updated inside. You get the charm of an old small-town setting with good food, comfortable surroundings, and friendly service. read more

We stopped for lunch with hopes of great food. What we got was an almost hour wait and cold food because there had been a large party. We almost left before the food came but the server said ours was next up. It had been sitting there for some time waiting to be served as it was cold, the bun dry. We were given the excuse that the kitchen didn't have a large enough grill etc. Okay then why accept large parties if you can't keep up with all customers? I would have likely been less disappointed if they had offered to take money off the bill or something of the sort. But nothing. This was our first time visiting this establishment, immediately upon entering, we all commented on how much we loved the vibe of this craft bar. Due to having a large party, we made reservations and were sat immediately. Our friendly server was prompt in greeting us, immediately brought over several carafes of water and then took our drink orders right away. This place offers a great selection of beers (making my husband and son very happy). I enjoyed a delicious gin drink "Bees Knees". Some of the wine drinkers in our group were a little disappointed since they were out of some of the wine selections but ended up ordering a beer and enjoyed the selection. Within our large group we ordered the wraps (southwest and Caesar), the Bang Bang tacos (shrimp) and several burgers (Wagyu sliders and pretzel smash). Everything was really good, burgers looked great and my husband said the tacos were very tasty. For our sides, most of us ordered the fries (both regular and sweet potato) and we all agreed tasted great! I did take off one star, it appeared as if there was only one server for the table section of the restaurant. There seemed to be several staff members behind the bar and one did help deliver drinks when needed. The expo was helpful as well when we needed some additional napkins. As busy as our server was, she always had a smile on her face and didn't seem stressed at all. With that being said we may have waited a bit longer but we were not in a hurry enjoying the evening. I do appreciate that with our large party they didn't rush us and kept checking to see if we needed anything. Warning if you are going there with a large group. They do not tell you up front that large groups get one check and they will not split it up. We had 15 people and the bill was $495. I along with others do not carry cash. The waitress said I don't know what to tell you but it is your on the menu. If it is, it is small print that I didn't see. And if you have large groups why not tell them that to begin with. My spouse even said when we were ordering that our bill was together and she never said a word. I will never go back there. It is a shame they do that for gratuity, I always tipped more than what they calculate anyway so they are missing out. read more

We ate here on Saturday 6/20/25 The food was great. we ordered sandwiches, the server said we get a side dish With our meal. My husband got onion Rings and I got a Cesar salad. After we order for some reason another server took over. THE BILL ARRIVED.. we were charged 3.50 (7.00) for our sides. I complained, the server argued with me stating I should have known. we chose the premium sides. Really? It's too bad we thought we found a fun place to go. I'm not a cheapskate but don't mislead me. Nice selection of beer on tap, although the selections seem somewhat random Instead of balanced across types of beer. Service was good and friendly. The food is good for a bar but not for a kitchen. A restaurant this size should have options for people with food allergies. Even very simple things like corn shells for their taco entrees and gluten free buns. For this restaurant to grow, they will need to consider these customers when making menu decisions. I have to add to this review, Kiersten is a shining star here, excellent customer experience skills and out of the box thinking on making the restaurant more successful. From this second interaction with this restaurant, it seems the Indians are more "I'm-tuned" with the customers, than the chiefs. I had a barbecue, hickory, bacon, burger with Gouda cheese. The bacon was not hickory flavored when I pulled the bun off. It looked like they put very little barbecue sauce on the bun like you would see at McDonald's a couple little dabs. The burger it's self replies was really good. 4 of us stopped in for dinner, it's really good and I'll be back. The beer selection is extensive and unusual. Very cool. Ask the servers for advice, they got this. I had the classic burger with an egg on it and the broken bacon Brussel sprouts. I asked that it be cooked medium , it was. However, the egg was broken and fully cooked. Why? Who would order an egg on a burger and want it cooked hard? Next time I will remember to ask for the egg to be cooked sunny side up. The Brussel sprouts were great, especially with the sauce. I was so glad to try this place! There are not a lot of places to sit and relax at in Sindey so we were surprised to find this gem. It is right across the court house in downtown so it is a great location to explore. I loved the Kentucky blueberry mule that I tried from Tap. It was so tasty and unique. The nachos we're delicious though I feel like there wasn't enough cheese. The Nashville hot chicken was a dry even with their house-made Hot sauce. It was a bit hard to eat and then i was charged when I asked for ranch. I enjoyed the atmosphere; it feels local and cozy. Our server was nice but I think she was the only one working at the time with 10+ tables so service was a bit slow. Everything is fresh and clean at this restaurant. Stopped in here for lunch and a brew. Had 42 beers on tap to choose from. Picked a Melvin Citradamas, a double IPA, which complimented my order of Fish & Chips, very well. The beer was excellent. The fish & chips were awesome. The fish was two fillets, lightly batter, deep fried perfectly - no oil residue. Fries were perfect. Really nicely decorated pub. Staff was very nice. Food was not very good. We had a large party of 16 and reserved the party room. Our host waitresses left early and bar maids and bussers tried to keep up with our food orders and drinks. Ordered the "Hangover Burger," which came in a puddle of grease (necessitating a fork), and the patty itself was so well done, it felt like eating a hockey puck. I took two bites, put the burger across the table, and that didn't apparently generate any curiosity from our server, even after we declined a box. Decided to dine in at Murphys tonight... I brought few family members with me today after a very long trip and we waited for an hour and a half in an almost empty restaurant. Once seated we were informed that we would have to be gone within the hour because they had another party coming in for a reservation. WOW!! I have never experienced anything like this. We received our food Luke warm and not cooked all the way through and the manager refused to speak with any of us at the request. BEWARE Most beers are price $6.00 - $7.00.......about average for a craft beer bar. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I ordered a flight, so that I could sample a few of them. When I got the bill they charged $17.00 for the flight ! WHAT, totally absurd !! Most places would be $6.00 - $8.00 for a flight of 4 small beers. Heck, I could have order 3 full size beers for about the same price. They should have warning signs posted about the rip off for the flights ! read more

Visually, on the outside, the restaurant is very pleasing and modern looking. Inside, it is very industrial looking with very poor & loud acoustics. The tables and chairs are uncomfortable to say the least. The food is poor quality. I had the Broccoli Mac & Cheese that was supposed to have Pablo bread crumbs but there were no bread crumbs but did have 4 big chunks of tomatoes to top. The broccoli didn't taste fresh and the cheese sauce tasted very synthetic. The sweet potato tots had a weird sugary coating on them. Very nice atmosphere and great facility. The list of beer is great...extensive, local, diverse and poured through a perfect draft system. The food so far has been very good. I had the Vegan Burger and the Tacos. Vegan burger was great and tacos were good but small. Expect more for the price in Sidney. The bartender was very good and efficient and knows his beer. The only dig I can think of is the servers may want to lighten up a bit. All in all this is a great place that was sorely missing on Sidney. Great job here. read more
