What is one supposed to say about a storage unit? It is a boring business. It is not exciting…read more They are not selling you a product that you can take home and wear or eat or admire. I don't think anyone on this planet drives by a storage facility and says, "wow, what an awesome place to spend money." I don't think anyone even cares about these types of businesses.......until they need one. I had some rather expensive furniture delivered before we were ready to put it in our house and I was suddenly in need of a place/. I went to THREE different places to find a unit to rent and I got the run around over and over. The final one was on 7th east right south of Sandy city self storage. There was a sign on the door they said 'be right back'. I, along with 2 other customers sat outside in the middle of the day for more than 20 minutes. No one came. I suddenly had visions of my high school prom date ghosting me after dinner...and became frustrated seeing as how this was the third go aground. I googled storage units near me and up popped sandy city storage. And it was just a couple blocks away. I pulled up and met a man named Bailey. He was friendly, fast, efficient and had me in and out within 10 minutes. Voila. Finished! When I came back a week later to load in the furniture, he again was there and helped me get situated, and was extremely helpful. Now, several months later, I went to check out and couldn't remember the process to get into my unit. He smiled and then helped me out again. It's like Thai guy loves his job. It's like he is super proud to work for such a great....albeit....boring company. Bailey was fantastic!!! So, if you need to store l crap, or treasured jewels, give him a call and you will be glad you did. ....I wonder if the person ever came back from their break at that other storage place..... oh wellZ. I rented a 10x15 unit for 4 months while I looked for a new place to live. I had a great experience…read morestoring here. The facility is pretty clean, and it is climate-controlled so you get out of the heat while you're working in it. It felt secure and was well-lit. Cameras are all over the property feeding back to the main office. There are bathrooms on the premises. Interestingly, the storage units are underground. The elevator floors can be a little confusing because they're not in an intuitive order, but I figured it out. Jamie and Misty were always helpful during business hours. The one drawback is that there aren't enough carts. You might have two in Building B, and if one person moving in uses both, that means no one else gets a cart, which is a problem on the weekends when lots of people are moving in and out. A smaller thing is that when you pull in, the curb is kind of steep so for a little sedan, you have to go slow getting up onto the property. In terms of price, I know that sometimes rent goes up after a few months with storage facilities; I don't know if that's the case here because I was only there for 4 months. I got a month free and paid $80/mo for the next 3 months. When I asked about frequency of rent increases, I was told that in that scenario I can reach out to see what they can do. I didn't have to do that, so I'm not sure what the outcome was. The app is really convenient. You can open the gates and doors using Bluetooth so you don't have to type in a code or search for a remote. The electronic security system means that everyone going in and out is documented, so you can feel good about the lack of anonymity in that regard if you are worried about theft. I opted out of the insurance. I think the insurance is too expensive, and often it is covered under homeowner's and renter's insurance anyway. I would rent a storage unit here again for sure.

They had a sink hole and we haven't been able…read moreto access our unit with a vehicle so I can finish moving it's been almost 3 months my belongings are being held hostage then I was extorted for 2 months rent to get pedestrian access to remove some of my stuff. Not an apology nor any discounted rent only bills raising rates and still no vehicle access. Guess we need to get them in court!!!!
