They called in advance and were on the way. Arrived on time and within and hour we had a brand new toilet installed! The old one was hauled away and I did not have to shop or do anything. Upon completion of the work everything was picked up and cleaned! Dave recommended the Gerber toilet and I do have to say it is quiet and powerful. We had a really frustrating experience with Edge. They came in just below budget with their…read moreestimate and then when quotes came in 50% higher than they anticipated, they refused to give us a breakdown of what was costing what so we were not able to make an informed decision regarding what to eliminate from the scope of our project. We had significant communication issues with the designer, who did not seem to understand our vision and did not have any ideas or input beyond the inspiration photos we gave her. She was also slow in responding to all e-mails (average of one week between us contacting her and getting a response) and extremely slow with updates and scheduling walkthroughs, consults, etc. We ended up taking over some of these tasks and scheduling appointments ourselves. We chose Edge as we did not want to serve as our own contractor, but we ended up needing to prod the designer to get things done and/or do them ourselves. Edge did not catch that our original masonry fireplace would be complicated to update. The designer spend much of her time fine-tuning the design on the fireplace, surround, etc. Unfortunately, after we had spend a lot of time making decisions on the fireplace, she finally had the mason look at the photos and was told that removing the existing fireplace surround would be prohibitively expensive and/or impossible. Edge never consulted an architect or engineer on our project despite the fact that the primary change was to be the elimination of a load-bearing wall. As such, we did not receive a usable floorplan. The mock-up we received did not contain any measurements or other specifics we would need to take a plan to another builder to enact. We decided to end our relationship with Edge after three months of working with them and receiving no deliverables or timeline regarding when construction could begin. We asked for a refund on our $1500 design fee due to receiving no design deliverables and were told that Edge felt that fulfilled their side of the design agreement and would thus issue not refund. Would not recommend this company.

Their estimator was friendly and knowlegable and spent quit a bit of time with me. I didn't feel rushed. I thought their estimate was fair. Communication prior to starting work was excellent. On the start day they showed up on time with a crew of seven. Jeff (supervisor?) has worked for WR for something like 26 years... a good guy. The foreman had something like 8 years with WR. That tells me a lot. The second day they showed up with a crew of nine due to the posibility of bad weather late in the day and the rest of the week. I was told that under no circumstance would they leave my house unprotected. Everything went exactly as they promised. The roof looks fantastic. Everyone was courteous, professional and respectful of my property. Their cleanup each day was absolutely impecable. Other than the fact that I have a new roof and rain gutter, you would never know that they were even here.

Apparently, my $40,000 job wasn't big enough to warrant much attention. They certainly took their…read moretime. If workers showed up at all, it was late in the day on a Friday. Took well over 2 months to complete. Communication was terrible. My main contact person never returned calls, and was generally unresponsive. I do not recommend.

I hired this company to clean my solarium and to power wash the outer parts of the gutters on my…read morehome and garage. The workers came almost two hours late without a phone call. The man doing the power washing came onto my front porch (cleaning the front porch was not part of the estimate) and proceeded to power wash it, soaking a framed print that was on the wall. The print was of sentimental value as it had come from my previous home. I called the owner in tears and he told me that the worker told him that I asked him to power wash the front porch, WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. I asked that the job be finished and that the workers leave ASAP. The owner hung up on me. I am a widow, new to the city of Madison. I have however owned several other homes in different locations over the past 40 years. Never have I been spoken to or treated this way by a business owner. Please do not consider using this unbelievable unprofessional company. UPDATE: Connor, the business owner, showed up in an indigent rage, demanding that I show him exactly what was damaged. I felt threatened, frightened and shocked at his angry attitude. He then demanded to know if I intended to pay him ( I never said that I wouldn't pay him). When I again asked that he and his workers finish the job and leave, he refused to step off of my porch. I literally had to get my phone and tell him that if he did not step back and stop shouting, I would need to call the police. He ran to the back of the house, rounded up his workers and leaving the the job half done with all of the screens left out of the windows. Again, I have owned, maintained and renovated four homes and have never had a problem like this before. Another update: this morning I discovered that glass in the the overhead light fixture on the front porch was broken by the power washer. I was never told about this and the broken pieces of glass were cleaned up before I could notice.

We brought them in for a quote on replacing the knob and tube as well as installing new switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures. Not only did the quote come in at a reasonable price, but the job was truly well done. The attention to detail in all of the new installations is obvious, and their knowledgeable suggestions helped us make informed decisions about where to place things. We made changes to our requests several times during the job, and each change was met with confidence and implemented quickly. I really couldn't be happier with the work.

My wife and I are finally finishing our basement and went with Hooper Service for all of the HVAC…read moreand plumbing work that needed to be done. This included replacement of existing under-floor drains and a new full bath with steam shower. Being an older home with old drains as well as the decision to add steam made for some interesting problem-solving. Hooper was always prompt and punctual and Chris our plumber called me to give me a heads up when he was on his way every time. He is an artist I might add, have a look at his steam generator install! They were quick, NOT the most expensive option, and clearly very professional, teaching me along the way about my new systems and maintenance advice. If they can handle this job with ease, chances are good they can handle yours too! Highly recommend you give them a call.
