A super fun excursion not only just for kids (although you won't stick out as much if you do come with kids) but also those who are young at heart.
MIM, for any of you that have been to the Exploratorium in San Francisco...it is exactly like the Exploratorium but on a smaller scale - they even had a 3D movie theater!
They also have workshops you can put your kids in while you walk around exploring. The staff are hired to work well with kids and they even make sure they have English and Portuguese speakers to foreigners who visit on tours.
When I first came, I had a friend who worked there, so he gave us a special tour and let us into various different workshops. I especially recommend the electric one - you actually get slightly electrocuted (don't worry it doesn't hurt).
I also came with a group of kids, and it was fun playing with them in the bubble activity as well as the different interactive stations.
This is a great place to celebrate a kids birthday, go on a first date or have a team building excursion - it is also pretty easy to get to and just a short walk from the metro or if you come in car they have a large parking area. read more
