This museum is definitely worth a visit, telling a story, as it does, of a man who resisted the Nazis and tried to save the group of blind Jewish workers who made brushes at his company. He bribed the Gestapo to keep them from arresting his employees and hid or helped find hiding places for several Jewish families. The museum tells what happened to many of the people who worked at the company. Many of them were murdered in concentration camps, despite their efforts to avoid arrest. Thankfully, some escaped and lived long lives. The museums shows the rooms where the people worked, photos, letters, and postcards from the concentration camps in which the writers tried to send secret signals to Otto Weidt. You can see the room where one family hid.
The museum is down a little alley, next to the Cinema Cafe. read more
