While we do have our favorites, Music Match comes as a close bet for their affordable prices. Compared to other karaoke venues that charge by the hour per person, Music Match charges by the hour per room. We like to cram ourselves in small rooms because we're extremely close like that. Sound system, microphones, leather chairs, food and drinks are all OK, but their services is always spot-on. For that impromptu karaoke session, Music Match never fails to deliver what we need.

This makes it an ideal hang-out for those looking to spend little on fun activities, especially ADMU and Miriam students. The environment of this branch, though, does not really stand out compared to other branches. Music 22 Katipunan offers a moderate selection of rooms to accommodate groups of different sizes, although all the rooms practically look the same with a simple set-up of the karaoke equipment, table, and couches. Space is allotted for each room to allow for some dancing to the songs on some occasions. Some of the equipment, though, looks worn out, and microphones tend to break down more times than not. The selection of songs is sufficient, although the songbook is quite disorganized, making it hard to find the newest added songs. Its location also makes it slightly difficult to access. The congested traffic in Katipunan Avenue, especially during rush hours, might make it difficult to bring your car to the area. Being located between UP and ADMU, walking to Music 22 along the polluted Katipunan Avenue is not exactly a healthy option, either. Nonetheless, if all you are looking for is to sing and eat and drink your night away with friends, then Music 22 in Katipunan Avenue should be good enough of an option. The affordable rates and good company should make your karaoke time at the very least fun and worth your money.

What I do not like is that students from nearby schools and universities may need to take additional transportation (jeep, trike, or car) because the place is not ideal to walk to especially at night. For around Php 2,500 to Php 3,500, you can already get drinks, food, and three hours of videoke in your own KTV room for five to 15 pax. Not bad! You may also avail of hourly rates for the KTV rooms if you prefer to choose your own drinks and food from their extensive menu. Hosting a party? Their Sala can fit up to 100 pax. Package starts at Php 35,000, inclusive of food, drinks, and videoke time. For the serious/aspiring videoke stars, Centerstage's playlist is extensive and updated! My friends and I are what you can call...an unconventional karaoke bunch. It's never not encouraged to make up your own version of songs. We've done opera, Pavarotti, rap, growl, and something as hella weird as a singing British news anchor. We also loved really unconventional karaoke songs, like The Lonely Island, whose songs amongst all the karaoke places I've been to over the years were only found here, at Center Stage, very unexpectedly. It was a super fun night singing (pardon my friench) songs with explicit content, among others (otherwise known as "songs nobody can understand and appreciate but me cause they're in a language other than English").
