Both times I stayed, I selected the French country room as it was the least expensive. The room was well cooled, which is important in July in San Angelo! The room was clean and the shower had excellent pressure and plenty of hot water. The Internet also worked very well. The bed was so-so; the mattress wasn't very firm which made sitting up to read a bit of a struggle. I did sleep well, and that's the most important fact. Guests have 24 hour access to a kitchen that the innkeepers keep stocked full of snacks and drinks. There is a coffee maker as well as cooking and reheating facilities and a large fridge. Parking is off-street, around back. So I didn't have to worry about my car. Two final words of praise: the inn was quiet and the innkeepers were very friendly.

The property is quaintly decorated with lights and a variety of art. The room was clean, spacious and cozy. And the kitchen is open 24/7 with anything you could want for breakfast or a snack. And they had beer and wine, included in the price which was a pleasant surprise. The location is convenient too if you need to run by the store there is a Walgreen and Walmart nearby. The only downside was the poor wifi but I didn't even care. This was the coolest place I've ever stayed.

They had said the ice machine was broken so I asked about it and she became very defensive and somewhat aggressive. I am now having to check into a different hotel at 10pm at night. She refused to tell me her name and was not wearing a badge. I am very disappointed, exhausted, and down right angry. I wanted a place of rest and I was not given what was promised.

Entering the lobby, it was very clean and the front desk clerk very friendly. I was given my room key and made my way to the room up a rather dark stairway. Upon entering my room, I was pleasantly surprised that it had been recently completely updated with no carpeting, but with synthetic wood plank flooring. There was fresh paint on the walls and the mattress was pretty new and very comfortable. The bedding was fresh and smelled clean. The TV was up to date, with satellite reception that was crisp and a selection of channels that was perfect for lounging around. The bathroom was tiny but sufficient and the water pressure and temperature was perfect. Lighting throughout was good and the curtains were of the blackout variety so no light came in from outside. There was very little noise from other rooms or the outside area and I felt as if I was in a safe area. There were gas stations nearby and a little fast food. If I come back to San Angelo in the future, I will most definitely stay here.

Room was spacious and only hotel that the ac actually got to cold. The bed was comfortable. The only weird thing was they gave square little pillows, but the room was quiet and slept well. Their breakfast on the weekend was awesome. They actually had the best biscuits I've ever had at a hotel. They were soft and fluffy, not like the normal hockey pucks that you get. The ladies working at breakfast were friendly and working hard great to interact with. Definitely recommend.
