I'm extremely upset. I came in to have my gel removed and was told it would be $15. However, I was informed that I couldn't just remove the gel--I had to get a manicure as well, bringing the total to $35. I found this extremely odd since all I wanted was the gel removal. By the time the service was finished, I was charged $59.44. The technician told me it was $15 plus $35, but I saw the charges listed separately. If these were truly separate charges, why wasn't I allowed to just pay $15 for the gel removal alone? I even mentioned that I never get my nails done, and she took advantage of that to overcharged me. This felt like a scam. All I have in my nails is a clear coat. I knew I was getting scammed and told her to just add the clear coat. Again, from the start making me get a manicure saying I couldn't just remove the gel. Customer service was trash the girl who did my nails was weird, I spoke to her and she didn't say anything and on top of that she looked at me funny. So as soon as I walked in the vibes were weird. Didn't even attempt to even speak to me the whole entire appointment. I talk to her a whole 3 time in a 2 hour and 30 minute session After the first few minutes, of us sitting in silence I did put my AirPods in because it was awkward, and I was irritated. She literally had her from the min I walked in, never took them out. Got offered water, 10 mins after I sat down, didn't even get started with my nails. I said yes then never got it! Because they're too busy talking to each other and totally ignored me. So I had to ask for one, after I got done with my nails. I found this salon through Pulsd, where they were offering a $29 gel manicure. However, when I mentioned the offer, they completely denied it, despite it being posted. Even after Pulsd re-confirmed that the offer was still valid, the salon offered me a 20% discount instead for being a new customer (which was also only mentioned because I inquired about the $29 manicure). If I could, I'd give 10 stars!! I went here after I'd gone to another salon and they totally ruined my nails. Jenny was extremely skilled and she was very adept at correcting the mess the prior salon had made. Though many of the nails had fallen off, some remained, so she had to work to remove them without causing more damage. She then beautifully restored my nails exactly as they where previously. I really came here with high hopes. I work in the area and have walked by several times during my commute and thought it was a very cute place. As you can also tell by my previous post... I've been getting my nails done for over a decade. I came on 2/23 and was extremely disappointed in the results. The tech buffed my nails so much that every single one of my nails are so damaged that they all cracked. My gel manicure were all over my finger tips, and when I told my tech that there was dust on the polish and it was literally having a 3D effect she just gas lit me and told me it was the polish .... It also chipped in less than two days. Right after my appointment I was so upset I even emailed the salon and waiting patiently for over two weeks and no response. Needless to say, it was not worth the $95 and everyone should beware. read more

So happy I finally tried this salon! I had been meaning to check it out since it opened a few months ago and ended up booking a last minute blowout here. Everyone at the salon was so friendly and warm and the ambiance is really chic. I got a fantastic blowout that included curling iron curls and was really happy with the results. Suffice it to say I ended up with a stringy, uneven mullet and cursed myself for my moment of weakness. Mutha Pearl turned that disaster into a masterpiece. Andre made magic happen and I ended up with a beautiful, chic cut that is both flattering and easy to style. Never again! I booked "Mutha's Best," a 90-minute mani-pedi for $75. I'd had them before with Monica, and they were good. This time was different. The nail tech was extremely rushed -- why, I don't know. There was no one else in the salon except for the phone she was glued to. Immediately she tried to upsell me for an extra $20 for the callous treatment. I declined; the buffing she gave me was cursory. When I said it's usually more thorough, she shrugged and said I had to pay for it to be special. The massage that is supposed to come with the service was just a moisturizer application. She said if I wanted more "special," I'd have to pay an additional $20 for a massage. She was so sloppy cutting the cuticles that for days, the skin was ragged. Honestly, I would have done better at a quickie place in the strip mall. The next time I took a shower I used my foot buffer and got a better result than what Mutha Pearl gave me. The whole miserable experience lasted 50 minutes. When I pointed this out to the girl who helped me check out, she said that it's no longer 90 minutes, but 60. I showed her the confirmation email from the salon stating that it's 90 minutes, and the website says the same thing. Now, a couple of weeks later, it still says 90 minutes. The salon always seems empty; there isn't even anyone to greet you when you walk in. I can see why it's desolate. read more

This place is a JOKE. I walked in at 10:30am and Veronica, the owner, made an appointment for me for 12:30pm. Then she called me an hour later to ask me a) who made this appointment for me, b) telling there is some scheduling conflict. I told her that I was a walk-in this morning and she assisted me, and she immediately remembered me, and confirmed my 12:30pm appointment. First off, who calls and asks/says things she did? How can you not remember a person you spoke to an hour ago?? When I showed up, everyone had tons of attitude and they told me I'm not on the schedule and there is nothing they can do. I've been here twice, both with the Pulsd deal. The first time I just did a pedicure and had a normal experience. Nothing to write home about but with the deal it was a great price. This is really not a great spot. After spending two hours there, I have a streaky and smudged mani and pedi, and multiple cuts on my cuticles and a bruise on my hand from the most aggressive hand massage I've ever gotten. It took 5 minutes for the receptionist to swipe my card because she was too busy talking to a friend and looking at pictures on her phone. The only reason this is 2 stars instead of 1 is because the salon itself is cute and very clean. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I really wanted to like this place, when I went the first time everyone seemed very nice and they have a really cool space. I got a gel manicure with nail art on a few of the nails, and it was a little over $100 - bit on the expensive side, but I was pretty happy with them... at first. Usually when I get gel done, it lasts four weeks or more if I don't mind my nails growing out. Not even two weeks later, this gel started to crack and lift at the base. One nail was especially bad, and a few others were heading in the same direction. Because I'm used to gel lasting so much longer, I went back and asked if they would mind removing it and just doing a regular manicure without art so I could get a little more time out of my nails with all the money I'd already spent. Unfortunately, I was told they have a "3 day" return policy. For regular nail polish, sure. But for gel? You expect more given what they charge for it. Eventually they agreed to do this for me (after I was point-blank asked to make sure to tip again - which I would have 100% done anyway, felt very aggressive to ask). I sat down and the technician had a huge attitude straight away; told me my nails were fine aside the one really bad one, and that it was my fault for "washing my hands too much". Um, okay? I tried to nicely point out there were several other cracks forming and in the next day or two I'd end up with the same problem if I didn't take care of it now, but she was too busy telling me with a huge attitude that I was "the first person ever to return and want their nails redone" as she began roughly sanding the gel off my nails. I've had gel removed tons of times before at other places and I can honestly say it has never, ever hurt... but in this case, I barely got through it. She actually burned some of my nail beds and the rest didn't fare much better. (It's been a couple days now since it happened and my nails are absolutely destroyed - I have cracks and breaks in them almost all the way at the base, it's going to take MONTHS for this to mend itself.) As soon as she was done, I couldn't bear to be in there for one more second with the way I had been treated - so I left without getting the polish replaced. Over $100 plus two rounds of tips later, I ended up going home with no polish, cutting my nails off, and sticking my hands in ice because my nail beds were burnt and in pain. It's been a few days since then and anytime I so much as bend a nail it's extremely painful. What a passive aggressive tactic to agree to make something right with a client, then berate them and cause them mental and physical distress the whole time you're "fixing" the problem. A little kindness and accountability would have gone a long way; instead, I definitely will not be returning and sincerely hope others avoid at all costs. I hope that technician is never allowed to abuse someone like this again. read more

I have been here a few times. First time was amazing service but chipped pretty quickly for a gel polih. (They use vegan polish so maybe thts why it doesnt last as long. If ur hoping to get acrylic or gel tips don't come here! They only use the clear base to build an acrylic "shape" if you can call it that & then they put a gel nail polish on top & tried 3 dif methods to make ombré (none of which worked). The "white" part of my nail aka the French tip was just the base acrylic so there's a big dip where white acrylic or polish should've been placed. Not to mention they are bumpy & different lengths. Wasted 3hrs in the salon, $120 and an additional 4hrs reshaping my nails. P.S. I went in August & got their gel tips - they're literally press-ons that fell off less than a week later. Spend $15 at CVS and you can get the same thing :) read more
