I take both my kids there and I go there myself. Sometimes you have to wait, usually on weekends but most times you get your appointment time plus or minus 15 minutes. The doctors here, namely Dr Davis and Dr Williamson (daughter and mother respectively) are very good. They are personable, which is more than I can say for most and they remember you. I saw Dr Davis through both my pregnancies and before her I saw Dr Williamson. I can't speak highly enough of Dr Davis, neither can my kids. Best GP ever! This past weekend when my usual GP was unavailable, knowing the team at Taringa is only a short drive away was a god send during my current flu-state. Case in point on Sunday when my conditioned worsened and I was in need of a doctor appointment I went to Taringa. On a Sunday they don't take appointments and the wait time was about 45 minutes. And look - the service is a little impersonal but you can make concessions on this given the volume of people they'd see each day and when you're greeted by the pleasant surprise the Dr has bulk-billed you instead of charging the Sunday fee of $90, you're even more forgiving. All in all a reasonably fine medical practice that is a handy number to have up your sleeve.

However, making an appointment means a 15-25 minute wait on hold, and when you get there the receptionists are very cranky and impersonal. Last time I (and everyone else who came in) stood in front of the counter while the three receptionists ignored us for a few minutes - not even a smile and "I'll be with you in a minute". It doesn't take much to look up from their typing and acknowledge the patients for a second, but they never do. It's worth putting up with the bad service to get a great radiologist and accurate results, however the practice management definitely needs improvement.

This is a privatised business and as such only standard X-rays are bulk billed. All other scan types are eligible for a Medicare rebate if the criteria is met. The costs per scan are considerably higher than all other radiologists I could find in this area, however their availability is the quickest around. They have been able to quote a next day appointment where others were over a week. The difference was $150 after rebate, around $100 more than everyone else. The rebate is returned within 3 business days as standard. Low star rating is purely based on the staff attitude. I'm not sure if everyone is just having a bad week, but after attending this establishment two times within a week, I've been consistently appalled with the lack of polite greetings, poor attitudes.

When I first wanted to come to this clinic she wasn't taking on any new patients, but six months later I somehow managed to weasel my way onto her regular patient's list. She's compassionate, but firm, and made me piss myself when I walked in with a nasty virus and she spent our entire consultation with a face mask on. (I was very contagious.) James Kennedy is a sweetheart and has a lovely Irish accent that will make you forget all of your ails. The nurse is also incredibly kind and considerate. My ears get blocked often so I come here to get them flushed out. Having water flushed into your middle ear isn't exactly pleasant and can leave you feeling nauseous, so the nurse sat and chatted with me while the room stopped spinning. Some important things to note: - You're able to claim most of the bill back through medicare, and the ladies at reception can help you set things up so those returns are paid directly to your account. - There's a pathology clinic down the hall so you can get your tests done in one hit. - If you're catching public transport, this place can be a bit difficult to find. There are quite a few doctors here, but none are all that young. The other day I ran 15 minutes late because my daughter was running a fever and arrived there and the lady at the desk told me sorry I don't know how long you have to wait, you're late. I was a bit taken aback by her comment, because it doesn't take much to see I had a sick baby and all the other times I had to wait over an hour... the nerve. Anyway. I might put it down to the fact that maybe she was having a bad day... but I was not impressed. The doctor I saw was great and helpful... but the experience I had with the lady at reception had already left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
