Was craving some tacos and ordered their street tacos. Got six of them (3 chicken and 3 carnitas) and they did not disappoint. Came with rice and beans, and the beans were served in a fried tortilla...delicious! Marinated for 24hrs, the meats were flavorful. Great Mexican cuisine if you need your kick in the area. Service was spot on and attentive. The vibe of the place was right off a main drag so you can car watch through their big windows. Bar and dual level seating with a vibrant feel. So when we arrived you can order to go or you can seat yourself there was a younger waitress working and I asked if they served A Long Island Ice Tea and she said they don't have Tea and they had no idea what a Grateful Dead was, so as far as the food the Crazy fries were probably the best part of the meal the Jalapeños on it have some heat to them so do not think it's just for flavor the 6 Chicken Street Tacos we're give or take for me as I did not like the tortillas they used and the rice was absolutely horrible I think this place has serious potential and I'm definitely gonna give it another run as there was a lot of regulars there read more

I really want to love this place. After the last place went under and Dos Amigos left town, (and what was the name of that great Mexican restaurant at 45 Main St, back around 15 years ago? Slims! That place was awesome!) there's nowhere to get good Mexican food in this area. Upon entering My Cielo, the menu seems pretty straightforward. I ordered the chicken tacos, which come with a side of rice and beans. When I arrived home with my order, I was surprised that my food also included chips and salsa. This was an unexpected bonus. The salsa was tasty and the chips were warm and fresh. The meal also came with an unidentifiable green substance. Maybe this was a kind of salsa, too? It would be nice to know what it was. The taco shells were extremely disappointing. Apparently these are "mother flaming tacos," which I assumed from the name would be spicy and hot. There was nothing "mother flaming" about the tacos. In fact, they were my least favorite part of the meal. They were flavorless, somewhat stale-tasting, and disintegrated upon handling. The chicken itself was flavorful and abundant. Unfortunately, there was a hard piece of bone in one of the chicken pieces. Glad I didn't break a tooth. The beans that accompanied the meal were some kind of mushed (refried?) bean. They weren't bad, per se, but they were presented in a hideous green taco shell. I could not decide whether this shell was meant to be edible or not. In any case, its appearance did not compliment the meal at all. Overall, the meal wasn't too bad for the first time and the restaurant has a really cute name. I definitely would not order those unimpressive "mother flaming tacos" ever again, nor would I eat beans out of a stale green shell. I was ready to rate My Cielo as a solid 3, but then I took a look at my receipt and saw that there was a service charge for "togo." Well, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. I understand that supplies for take-out are part of the cost of doing business, but the charge should be included with the price of the food. The separate line item for it on my bill left a very bad taste in my mouth. I truly wanted to love this place- I would have ordered here twice per week at least! - but they have unfortunately brought me to my limit. read more

Remember what service and quality was like pre-covid? My Cielo is rather unassuming, located in a small plaza in Epping. My husband and I popped in for what we thought was going to be an average meal and were very surprised to find Bistro flavors and very fresh ingredients. This will be our go-to for mexican cuisine. We went here for dinner on a Saturday evening with my family, I ordered the carnitas plate. The beans that came with the meal were, I guess refried beans because there were zero whole beans in the little taco like shell that they were served in. The pork that was served was cooked nicely, but lacked any flavor. There was no seasoning or sauce on it at all. The only non-alcoholic drinks that they had were bottled (sodas) and lemonade, so I decided to get the lemonade. The drink was mostly ice, so it did not take long to finish so I requested a refill. I got a chicken burrito (double chicken) from here last night, upon taking it out of the foil wrap, the amount of grease covering the tortilla was insane. Upon cutting it open, the chicken was plentiful, the amount of beans lacking, the lettuce was soggy and unappetizing, I also asked for sour cream inside of the tortilla but got a teeny tiny cup of it on the side. My first bite was ok, the seasoning wasn't what I am used to or expected but it wasn't bad, I didn't hate it at first, but the further I got into the burrito (not far), the seasoning was so overpowering and the saltiness made it inedible. Love this restaurant. Compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area this feels the most authentic. They use corn tortilla for most everything so almost the whole menu is GF apart for items like the quesadilla and a few others. I've tried the tacos and enchiladas and they are amazing. Some of the best tacos that we've had in a long while. Food is close to perfect. And we were pleasantly shocked when our bill totaled only $27 for full dinners for two including an appetizer. Service wasn't 100% though---our water was never refilled, and we ran out mid-meal. Our server never returned until we were done eating, and we requested and recieved a water refill at that time, as she was taking our plates away. The place is kind of a mix between an order-at-counter take-out spot and a sit-down restaurant. We were expecting to order at the counter, but then they invited us to sit down, and they brought us menus, and came back a while later to take our order. But it doesn't seem like they're really ready to handle a restaurant full of sit-down customers. There may have been only one server, and it seemed like she was also handling other responsibilities. In the 20+ years we've lived her since moving from Southern California, we've been trying to find truly authentic Mexican food. Only a couple of places in all of New England are like what you find in California and Mexico and My Cielo is one of them! They use real Mexican cheeses and their sauces are homemade and full of flavor. The rice, enchiladas, chicken burrito bowl and guacamole were all stand outs and we can't wait to try everything else. Everything tasted fresh and was clearly made of quality ingredients. The service could not have been better or friendlier. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. If you are looking for the giant portions of flavorless Americanized and/or Tex Mex food that most people in New England have come to know and love then this place isn't for you. But, if you are looking for excellent, truly authentic Mexican food that is prepared how it should be be then you will love My Cielo. read more

We are on the hunt for our favorite local Mexican spot and this ranks high on the list so far. The tacos and enchiladas were delicious. The drinks were huge! The menu is simple but sometimes it's best that way- quality over quantity! They have a kids menu available and also a small area of outdoor seating in their parking lot area. There's not much room for parking but there is some space down the road. The restaurant space is small but we didn't have to wait for a table at dinner time on a weekend so that was nice. Ordered takeout for the first time for my birthday today, since I wanted to try something new. Overall, I was impressed! I've been a bit hesitant to order here since I've heard mixed reviews and felt the prices were a bit steep for Mexican, but the amount of food that showed up at my door explained the prices. I ordered the chicken chimichangas and the elote, and it came with a complimentary bag of chips with salsa, so I easily had enough food for two people for around $30 including delivery. I found the side of rice that came with the chimichangas to be a bit on the bland side, and the tortilla bowl the refried beans came in had gotten soggy during delivery, but those things are both easily overlooked when the rest of the meal is good. The chimis were tasty and filling, but the star of the meal was definitely the elote- I would go back JUST for that! read more

What a lovely little gem to find on Rochester. The staff is attentive and the CB place is much bigger on the inside and they also have outdoor seating Got the three street taco plate. I ordered and the math didn't workout for me, based on the menu price and I know what the tax rate is. They charge a $0.50 charge for the take out container. Not posted anywhere that this is a thing. The food when I got home,less than 5 min away, left a lot to be desired. The steak was old dry and tough. Tomatoes were mushy, avocado was slightly over ripe, and the ham was like prepackaged stuff I can get in the grocery store. I most definitely will not be going back there again. read more

I was first impressed reading the varied, interesting and authentic menu offerings and then enjoyed the freshness and taste of the Shrimp burrito I ordered. However, problens with the level of service from the young man who took my order. He was unfriendly and patronizing to me as he explained the up charge for shrimp which I was aware of. Then after that turned about face and couldn't be more respectful and personable to the two male police officers who placed orders after me. Not sure what that was about. I'm all for respect for those who protect us but I felt that I was treated differently in a lesser way and I was a customer spending my money there. So because of that I won't be back. My recommendation: the person taking the orders needs to treat all customers with the same level of respect. read more
