My husband hired My DJs for a company event with about 40 people. The photo booth was a hit, and the DJ kept people dancing all night long! I especially loved the props for the photo booth. It wasn't just some cheap signs on wooden sticks. They had lots of different items to choose from, and the background was glam. The music was also on point! We hired MY DJs to DJ at our wedding in San Diego! We used Jorge as the DJ and he was great! The whole process was seamless and everything went smoothly. He was able to translate what we asked for into great playlists for each even of the evening (ceremony, cocktail, and reception). We also rented lights and a photo booth from them. We hired MY DJs and DJ Alex to be our wedding DJ back in June and we are still receiving compliments to this day. He knows exactly how to work the room. From the start, working with him and MY DJs was easy and efficient. The online planning tools helped us plan our day as a whole, not just the music part, and was such a great resource to print and hand out to our vendors/party. The ease of creating and choosing songs via their online planner and Spotify made it extremely convenient. Once the reception started kicking off, DJ Alex knew what to play, when and most importantly for how long. He felt like an extended part of our party and wish we could re-live it all over again. We wish we had 2 more hours with him, thank you Alex! We also opted to get the open-air photo booth which captured so many great moments. DJ Leon was our DJ for our Marine Corps Birthday Ball last night and he did a phenomenal job! He arrived early to ensure a smooth setup and that every detail was covered. He also assisted us with some last minute requests! He DJed for over 1,300 Marines, 7 of which were Generals! With that being said, everything needed to be perfect and he nailed it! He was extremely professional and organized. He had a whole slew of Marines on the dance floor breaking a sweat! The played multiple genres of music while keeping the Marines on the dance floor. Being that he retired from the Marine Corps, he has a great understanding of the sequence of events as well as the importance of celebrating the Marine Corps birthday. I don't know if I got the worst DJ or what but DJ Grimm did not perform like his counterparts. I would recommend avoiding this DJ at all costs. He wasn't personable and did very little to engage with guests. 1) DJ Grimm did not MC at ALL, that's one of the main reasons I went with My Djs 2) DJ Grimm brought his wife to my event. If he would have communicated with me and let me know he wanted to bring her this review would have been different. I find it very disrespectful that he brought an uninvited guest to my party without my permission. Overall, I would use their services again but I am definitely requesting a different DJ. The owner Earl Henry was very understanding and responded quickly to my concerns. I think DJ Grimm may be a bad apple but the company is still worthwhile. DJ Zuni was fantastic! He was easy going and very understanding to our needs. He was very helpful with walking us through what songs were needed and giving us ideas to listen too. He spent time with us ensuring the songs we wanted were the correct versions. On the day of the ceremony he was on time and set up and coordinated with the officiant for the service. He transitioned to the receptions seamlessly and played a mix of the songs for the cocktail/dinner hour we wanted and added a few that worked well at other services. DJ Zuni was very interactive and helped transition from each segment of the reception. DJ Zuni played a great mix of songs and did a great job reading the crowd and what they were into. It was a pleasure working with "My DJs" for our December wedding! Our wedding coordinator Gina Hundley recommended we use them for our wedding, and we are glad we did! Gerrilynne would always seem available to answer our calls and would also answer any questions we had, and emails, pretty quickly. DJ Shy MC'd and DJ'd our wedding and we were lucky to have him! He was personable and made sure he had what we wanted, and coordinated the music/event times with our wedding coordinator. We were very specific about what we wanted to be played, and he took the time to find it! We asked that 80's music be played while our guests sat for the ceremony, but the music had to be similar to the Vitamin String Quartet. DJ Shy did it! To get our party started, we asked that the wedding march be played, to get people up and on the dance floor, but we asked for a VERY SPECIFIC version that didn't sound like circus music. He found it! He kept our guests on the dance floor ALL night, and you rarely saw guests sitting and taking a break! He knew how to get our guests involved and kept them, and us, happy all night!!!! Everyone said they had a BLAST!!! The only thing that I wish would have gone smoother, was the microphone for the ceremony. Earl had stated that a sound guy would be there to assist our DJ, but I'm not sure what he did. Our guests were not able to hear the ceremony, and it took a while to get the mic started for the Maid of Honor & Best Man speeches. After the wedding, my husband spoke with Earl & he was apologetic for the issue & provided us with a credit for our troubles.
