They installed a ceiling fan for me and I cannot figure a single thing they did wrong or even marginally. The job was perfect! And, in doing it the installer was on time, polite, cleaned up the mess, personable, etc. The price bid by "My Electrical Genie" was offered right away - they were the first to respond to my listing. And they responded with a price. Others didn't respond with a price even though my project was very specific, simple, and with pictures! The price was good in my opinion and notably far below the rip-off price proposed by another. I thought that getting the low price meant I wouldn't get the best of options for the install. I figured the "swag" wire coming from over the door sill would have to remain. But he got the wire hidden above the ceiling with just one hole that he patched up perfectly! I figured I'd have to repaint the ceiling, but he said, "Maybe not." It dried perfectly white like the rest of my ceiling! I don't have to repaint. I can't see where the hole he made was! I've owned my home for over two decades, and this has been the best project ever. read more

When you live in South Florida, it's a good idea to have ceiling fans installed in the house. While we had installed ceiling fans in almost every rooms in the house, we have not had the fan installed in our living room. Because our living room ceiling is higher than all other rooms in the house, and there isn't any box our electrical outlets available in the ceiling like the light fixtures in other rooms, and for the longest time we thought it may cost us an arm and a leg to get a professional electrician to come in and have the fan professionally installed. Recently I received a spot-bonus from work and we thought, it doesn't hurt to get a few quotes and see how much it actually would cost us to get the job done. My wife started doing some research and found a few places from Yelp she thought it's good. At the end, this place gave us a very decent quote and we decided to go with them. The technician who did the job for us was very professional. He called my wife before he arrived and arrived at the time he promised. We sent them a few pictures to get the quotes, after the technician looked around and see if he can do the job cheaper, he still honor and did the job as quoted. Originally I thought the job might be tricky because the top of our ceiling is not flat, it is inclined with slopes going in three different directions. Somehow they still was able to manage to install the fan right in center of the ceiling, and was able to hide all the electrical wiring inside the dry walls. From the price we were quoted to the completion of the job, I thought it was very decent and honest, and they did a terrific job. We had many other estimates before him, yet they either charged too much, or were unable to complete the work due to the raised ceiling (12'-15') and not having the proper equipment, with one estimator saying I 'would have to rent a Genie hydraulic lift if there was any chance of completing this job'. Marvin showed up with nothing but a step ladder under his arm! It was also great that his wife was there, as my chandelier is a raindrop chandelier, with many crystals that had to be individually attached. He was done in less than 90 minutes, accommodated all my requests, and humored our 4 year old who wanted to watch him work and ask questions.
