Be prepared to wait a LONG while to be served by anyone. It was understandable the first time where we waited 30minutes to ask a staff member about strollers. As we were novices in the bubs department, we didn't even know what to look for or ask! We were fortunate to get the attention of a Britax sales rep who was a wealth of information. We decided to shop around and returned that afternoon to purchase the stroller we'd decided on. Our second experience at Baby Bunting was nothing short of awkward. When we approached the cash register, staff members seemed to be busy with other stuff apart from serving the customer. When someone finally came along, she was less than friendly and merely stood there. No service whatsoever till we said we'd like to purchase it. Nothing, not even a 'has anyone showed you how this product works?'. I was so confused. The store wasn't busy. There was another hour to go before closing time. What was the problem? The mind boggles. I reluctantly paid for the stroller and left. I'll probably return because the product range and the prices are good, but I won't expect much in terms of service. It really is the Aldi of bub stores.

I love love love baby shops. I have been all over Brisbane since my first pregnancy hunting for…read morethe best deals, coolest places and all around funky baby stuff shop. My first love was Pram Warehouse. My second was Bubs Baby Shops... but most recently (I guess it's fitting because this is my 3rd child) Baby Bunting. How cool is THIS place? It has everything. To the normal non-pregnant eye, it's just another baby shop. But it isn't! It's located in the cool and trendy James St precinct, as you walk in it is super organised which I love. The toys in the front (not so sure if this is such a great idea as my kids locked on and wouldn't move) then it's the rockers and walkers, behind that the prams and strollers, change tables and bassinets and to your right on the aisle going down the middle the clothing, breastfeeding, little nursery set ups and all the other wonderful things like baby carriers, feeding and milking accessories. Just take my word for it ok? This place is the place to go to when you are looking for a present for a pregnant lady, or pregnant yourself. Or already with a kid but the kids still young. They also price match here, so if you don't want to buy from the now daggy pram warehouse, you can just quote their prices to Baby Bunting and they will match them. There's also online shopping! Woo. My only gripe.... sometimes it's a LONG wait to buy stuff because the check out counters seem to only be here and there and it does take a while.

I find shopping for clothes challenging at the best of times not being standard sizing (6ft tall…read moreand ranging from a size 16-22 depending on the cut). I was absolutely delighted with hitting upon the Maternity Super Store when my bump grew to the point where my normal clothes were no longer going to cut it. The sizes range from 8-24 and each rack is bursting with clothes all sorted into size, colour and style. Need work pants, look no further than the pant rack and choose from multiple styles and fabrics in black, grey and navy. Looking for a dress for a wedding or special occasion, they have a massive range in every colour you could dream of. With jeans, shorts, bathers, formal tops, long sleeve tops, underwear, maternity stockings, dresses, pants, t-shirts from beginning of bump to breast feeding you really can't go wrong. The best bit is nothing is over $80 (except maybe a few formal dresses) and I can happily state I didn't pay more than $50 for any each item and walked out with jeans, work pants, dresses and a few jumpers. Given the challenge of finding plus sized maternity wear in Brisbane this is a must visit even if it is a bit of a drive from where you live.

I must say after travelling so far to visit this place, I was quite disappointed. Clothing all…read morefeels as though it hasn't been updated since the 90's. Not sure where the stock comes from, but I certainly didn't see anything suitable for a young (20's) pregnant lady. All quite nana, with a lot of unflattering styles. Sales woman was nice, but quite pushy. Selecting things for me (after a few questions) and having me in a fitting room within 3 minutes of being in the store. Unfortunately I left with nothing and I wouldn't be recommending to others.
