He did routine maintenance check and couldn't really find anything wrong. My furnace stopped working that night and Dan came back next day. It turned out that installing a new furnace was the smartest thing to do as mine was over 20 years old. The replacement part's price was almost a third of what a whole new furnace cost. There was a listing for Barnard Heating & Cooling (Nathan Barnard), which started business in 2024 and he stated he has 13 years' experience in HVAC and he was open on Thanksgiving Day; so, I called him and explained the situation. He said he would take a look at it on Friday, the following day. He checked it out, knowing that I needed a new furnace, he said he could install a new Heil furnace the following Monday and quoted a fair price. I told him to write it up.
