Came here for a birthday party and the kids all had a nice time. But then again, if you let them run wild ... good chance they will have a great time regardless of what they do. This place has a few varieties of age appropriate gym equipment, including some bars, trampolines, slides and lots of other similar elements. The place also has a large room that's good for parties as well. The staff was attentive and friendly. My only concerns were that the space was kind of on the smaller side which makes it a little crazy when there are lots of kids there at one given time. The gym was also not super clean, which was little concerning for me. I get there's lots of gym traffic but I've seen other places that were better maintained IMO. The parking is a little wonky too but at least they have a lot down the hill that can support a decent amount of vehicles (this place is tucked away and a little hard to find) read more

I feel bad saying this is not worth the money because my son is priceless and I would take him everywhere but this place has the worst cancellation policy ever. You need to cancel with a month in advance and on top of that you are obligated to pay for the following month which is $179 I was also charge an additional $44.75 which I still don't know why because when you call they never pick up the phone no matter how many voicemails you leave them. They change the curriculum every week but it seems repetitive, like they repeat the curriculum a lot. Save your hard earn money and take your kid somewhere else where they actually respect you as a parent. read more

We live nearby and figured it would be something to do to keep her young daughter entertained. It's basically a please please run by teenagers- or so it felt - and they were basically going through the motions during a play session there. But what I also found disturbing was they were so unengaged that they were a couple times kids on swings almost smacked into a little toddlers during "supervised activities" and then without any warning to us or any lead up they just told everyone to leave their babies and kids in a circle and let them have "independent time". These are basically teenagers who don't know our children, some of the kids were really young some of them were already walking and running, it was chaos, and then half the kids started screaming and crying and trying to find their parents. We grabbed our daughter, and left shortly after. I would never go back there again. There's no structure, it's total chaos, it's dirty, and they were more interested in getting us to sign up for membership and less interested in actually watching or entertaining our children. read more

They offer a 2 week special at $29 but then they charge you $180 if u don't cancel in two weeks and the cancelation is NOT 2 weeks from the 1st class but 2 weeks from when u pay. AND THEN THEY CHARGE U ANOTHER $80 the following month for cancelling what a bunch of assholes!! DO NOT GO HERE IT IS TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY AND THEN NO ONE PICKS UP THE DAMN PHONE WHEN U TRY TO SPEAK SOMEONE ABOUT THE CHARGES. Im so freaking angry I can't even!! I love this place and we've been having membership for a few months. Mr. Eddie was so great and engaging and we really like him. It's so sad that he left and this place is not as good as before. Those newly hired teachers are not well trained. They are not engaging and they have preference when dealing with kids, and do not treat them equally. For example, during independent time, they are more likely to play with elder babies and ignore younger ones. Independent playing time is only 2-3 minutes each time. This review is about the place and four teachers (Mr Jesus; Mr Jose; and Jasmine and a funny, athletic guy that is super energetic--sorry I forgot his name but I saw him on the Instagram photos) Things I like: -The class: it varies. They have age appropriate stuff. I have seen the kids progress with their stuff. -The teachers: the teachers I mentioned above really seems to like their jobs (it seems this improved. A previous review said the opposite). It shows they like making the kids have a good time. Also, usually I try to be careful and extra protective but I see them on their toes trying to make sure the kids (and occasionally the parents) don't hurt themselves. -Flexibility with make-ups: toddlers will put you through random stuff and you won't make it to class sometimes. I've never been given any trouble for make-up classes. -Parking: I always find an empty spot. -Fun: the kids seem to enjoy their time there. I haven't seen any kid not like it. Things that could improve: -Fix the blinds. -More space to seat and put on shoes (for busy classes.) -Occasional mix up with the music. -haven't seen Ms Jasmine in a while. I hope she didn't quit. -toilet covers for the kids? -the logo image here? It looks like you guys could upload a logo image with better quality :) Things that I'm not a fan off but probably hard to improve: -The elevator takes forever to go up or down just one floor. It's better to take the stairs. -exiting the parking lot when the road is busy looks a tiny bit risky. It's a weird angle because you're exiting from a corner. I have been at My Little Gym and Gymboree. All three places have been good but I like this place overall and plan to stay there for at My Gym at least a few years. read more

We just celebrated our sons 2nd birthday at My Gym and it was great. From the start of the planning to the completion of the party it was a wonderful experience. The staff was great to work with, especially Amanda and Karen who ran the party. Everything was on time and the party flowed effortlessly from play time to food and cake. The staff engaged all the kids and really made the birthday boy feel special. They took care of all aspects of the food, cake and cleanup and even bundled all our presents together for easy transport. We love my gym for regular classes and it was a great experience for a birthday party as well. read more

I took my almost 4 year old to a Mighty Mites/Whiz Kids class, and had the absolute best experience. My son can be very timid, and a bit shy when doing organized fitness orientated activities and the teachers picked up on that, and made him feel comfortable. The teachers were also always on hand to assist any child in need at the many different stations. It was an extremely organized class, but most importantly my son had a ton of fun. He left the class more confident than when he arrived, and in the elevator on the way to the car he told me, "I made new friends and I wasn't shy there!" We will be returning. read more

I am not an actual member however I called to see if I can enroll my child at this location. My son is currently at Gymboree and we love it but it's a bit of a drive and I was looking for something closer to home and this place is right next to my house. Well, when I call to inquire about the schedule they only have morning classes. Nothing in the afternoon. So, if you are a working parent with no nannies this is not the place for you. Maybe the owners could look into adding more classes? I am not sure why they don't offer classes in the afternoon like Gymboree. I was told that kids wake up early but again, this is a place more suited for stay at home moms. If they really want to attract more kids to come then they should really consider adding classes in the afternoon. read more

Let me start off this review with good factors of My Gym River Road. My son absolutely loves the classes he is attending and is always upset when he leaves, He interacts with other children in his age group (1yr-2yrs) and as well as with the instructors. As of today January 4th, 2017 I do not think my son will be attending anymore. My sons class is usually at 3pm, I was running a tad bit late and decided to call well in advance that I would be coming in a little later then 3pm. I called about 3 times from 3pm-3:25 and there was no answer, I did not think anything of it since they are usually busy teaching other classes but once I arrived to the gym I see that all lights are turned off and three new employees are just sitting there chatting on their phone. I politely asked if they were closed for the day or just for the class in general they said no but since nobody showed up for 3pm they decided to cancel the class. That right there really got me frustrated, I confronted them and told them I had been calling for the past 30 minutes to let them know my son and I would be late and I was not able to get through, they seem so confused. I asked if they had been sitting there the whole time and were not able to answer then phone and in fact they were. I was pissed by this point, I am not used to things being this way at My Gym River Road. I informed the employees that I had just spent $14 on transportation just for my son to enjoy myself and they could not bother to call and say they are going to cancel classes since nobody was showing up? It was a complete waste of my time and money. I am usually informed by email or call that there will be changes/adjustments to the classes but I am guessing these employees were not smart enough to think of doing so. A little after I left, my mother in law informs me that she called in to get ahold of the manager or managers name and was hung up on, my mother in law was only able to recieve one of the three employees names. I am highly dissapointed in what went on today and I truly hope something changes read more

Okay, first of all i loved this place. the staff was super nice and very sweet. JUST THE STAFF. BUT its way too overpriced. The managers suck! they're very stingy and money hungry. Don't get me wrong the teachers are very sweet and I loved them but i decided not to come back because of the managers. I was there for a trial class and assuming the teachers must talk to us about enrollments or something at the end of the class, Well one of the teachers didn't (although i was going to enroll), the manager got very upset that the poor teacher didn't enroll me right away. The manager (female) YELLED at the poor TEACHER and thats when i decided to leave. I do not tolerate when managers talk down to their employees, its just not right. My friend went there for her class too and the manager YELLED at the teacher in front of the kids AND parents because he wasn't doing the "right" thing, although his job is to deliver a class and make sure the kids are having fun. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! Long story short i feel bad for the staff who has to tolerate the managers. The manager walks into mygym and never greets anyone, all she wants is your money. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! The teachers are amazing BUT they're not treated as teachers. I WONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! The managers suck so much!
