To speed things up, they ask you to order your whole meal at one time, and then will deliver it all at once (except the dessert), or in courses. The ambiance is ok, but the main thing you feel is how each table is an island of calm in a sea of busy wait staff. I had the œufs mayonnaise and the Welsh, considered by some to be a local dish, but it was dropped off by English or Welsh during or in the aftermath of WWI. It's a Welsh rarebit, this one with a delicate slice of ham and cheddar cheese. It was decadent comfort food at its finest. The fries were generally good, but some were soggy. The œufs mayonnaise were delightful, with a dash of mustard, I think, in the mayonnaise. My wife had the onion soup and baby baked potatoes. She liked the soup. I also tried the potatoes. They were amazingly tender. We each had slices of the pear tart.
