I phoned John about 1.30 PM to enquire about getting 2 small jobs done (replace landing ceiling pendent and a wall mounted light on stairs). John rang me back with a quote in about 10 mins and as he was available in the area, had the job finished by 5 O'Clock. Efficient, Friendly service and at a good price. I heartily recommend. We were in dire straits and as a last resort we turned to the internet and found ourselves to be so very lucky. John at My Electrician was the chap we reached and within a couple of hours he was at our door and within minutes, he solved our problem. One hour after calling John, our job was finished! One of our downlights burned out, John diagnosed the problem over the phone and came straight over to fix the light. He also advised us to apply the same fix (new transformer) to the other three downlights, thus reducing our electricity usage from 200 watts to 20 watts for the four lights. His fee was very reasonable. We will definitely bookmark his Yelp page and call him again. read more

John was terrific. Had a problem with fire alarms going off late on a Sunday. John answered quickly, and assisted me via phone and text. Didn't even ask for payment. I would gladly avail of John's services again, and am happy to use him as my "go-to" electrician for any needs in Dublin. read more

There was no hot water coming from any of the taps in my apartment, they were all freezing cold. I requested a quote from the website before 12 noon, had a callback within the hour. he was able to come out and have a look later that day when I was home from work, 7.20pm (after hours), had the problem fixed within 30 minutes. He also didn't charge for the initial visit and I appreciate that he carries standard parts around on jobs as so many tradesmen drag out jobs because they need to order/source parts and it generally takes a few days. 10/10 would use again for any other electrical issues. read more

Called John "My Electrician" for a simple job. He works on Saturdays, and all I had to do is SMS him my address and he showed up the next day. He will arrive and provide a price offer without charging a visit, which is quite fair. He was patient and solved the various problems and gave us advice on how to fix some issues for the long term. Invoice waited in my email an hour later. Recommended! read more

I called them and stated I had a washing machine that needed to be fixed but i…read moreneeded to make sure they could do it.So i gave them the precise make and model so they could check if they had the parts etc. Called out for 15 mins.Said they would come back and do the job. Then said the part was not available after i specifically told them what the issue was before. Instead of demanding refund, i asked could they call back to fix something else since they would have needed to come back anyway.After 3 weeks chasing finally I finally got my answer which was they said they would not. obviously more profitable for them to call out even if they cant fix it. beware.

We heard a random pop and all the power in the apartment cut out. Turns out the timer on the immersion had blown and we had no hot water. I rang John up Sunday evening and he arrived by 8am today. He told me that our current timer had been recalled about 5 years ago (had no idea) and he could replace it as well as the cables as everything was burnt once he removed the timer cover (a bit scary, could have possibly started a fire!). He was so polite, professional, and explained everything he was doing. I would highly recommend his services and the next time I need anything electrical done, I will be calling him! read more

Recommend John Rogers of MyElectrician.ie. I had a small problem with a heating element in a fan oven and had no idea where to turn (along with an uncooked chicken!). John very kindly got back to me and pointed me in the right direction. Although my problem isn't solved yet, I now know where to go, thanks to John. He very kindly also said I could get back to me if I had any further problems but I'm very grateful for his response as I now have a starting point and should (hopefully!) soon get the oven fixed and that chicken cooked! read more

I would thoroughly recommend John Rogers of myelectrician.ie. He responded quickly to a request to replace a fan in the downstairs bathroom. He notified me when he was 20 minutes away. He supplied and fitted the new fan and took away the faulty one.The fan was replaced and working in about half an hour. Great job. read more
