It's a bit shameful that my reason for wandering in here was because I'd never been to a kosher supermarket before, but thems were my reasons and at least I've openly admitted it. In fairness, it was an innocent curiosity and nothing more, so I've not really anything to be guilty of except that I didn't intend to make a purchase!
Anyway. In the Leeds Jewish community's heart, Moortown Corner, it makes sense that such a place exists in this locale. As you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff and the shop is pleasantly laid out, with everything spaciously arranged for easy access. For those who are unaware of what to expect (i.e. those who are not Jewish) there are a number, no a plethora, of kosher products on offer so as to provide the community with their religiously sound consumables!
Whether it be meats, fish, dairy, breads, frozen, dried or chilled kosher goods that you require, it seems that Myer's Famous Kosherie has done it's best to provide those items. Since I haven't actually seen any other kosher shop in Leeds, let alone a smaller version, I'm assuming that this alone means they must have covered most things - I'm sure that the demand must mean they couldn't have not. They certainly seem to strive to satisfy their customers and have some lovely rootsy information about their inception on their website, if you care to take a few minutes to read it.
I realise I'll never *need* to shop here as such, not being Jewish, but I recognise good service and hard work when I see it. Brilliant stuff. read more
