Review of Wylie Eye Center…read more I have been a loyal patient at Wylie Eye Center for the past 8-10 years, returning every couple of years for an eye exam, new frames, and the same type of lenses I've used for years. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has been deeply disappointing and unlike anything I've experienced with them before. This time, a mistake was made -- the wrong type of lenses were ordered. I realized the issue immediately upon receiving them and even called from the airport the same day to report the problem. It was clear upon review that they had ordered the wrong lenses. I requested the correct comprehensive lenses to be ordered, expecting the matter to be handled promptly. Two weeks and many follow-up calls later, I was finally told my lenses had arrived. When I went to drop off my frames with the incorrect lenses, I explained the situation to a young staff member, who said she would look into it. The next day, when I returned to pick them up, I was shocked to be told I needed to pay for the new lenses -- essentially paying for two sets, one of which I will never use. What's worse is the complete lack of communication and care throughout the process. No notes were taken, no follow-up calls were made, and the staff I spoke to the previous day didn't even remember me. When I asked to speak with the office manager, I was told she was busy but would call me before the end of the day. That call never came. After over a decade of trusting Wylie Eye Center, this experience has left me saddened and frustrated. The quality of service and care I once valued here seems to have disappeared entirely.

I went in for my yearly check-up in order to get contact lenses and was pleased to see her go above and beyond. She carefully listened to my present and future concerns about prescription lenses and gave me all the options I could have over a lifetime. She also scanned the inside of my eye with a state of the art machine that is able pinpoint potential cancerous growths and cataracts. In my 10 years of visiting optometrists, it was the first time I was offered this insightful service. It gave me a sigh of relief to have all of my questions answered and know that my vision health was in great hands. The office is very clean, and comfortable, with the reception staff being very welcoming. Dr. Pakzad is definitely among Dallas' best doctors. Will definitely be returning!

Dr. Andre has been practicing for over 35 yrs. She truly will give you a lesson when it comes eye health, surgery on the eyelids, do's and don's. She is a surgeon. Not just an ophthalmologist. She will basically call it what it is, if you ask a question about need vs "claims" to need. However, she is not about " short schedules" ( she is chatty) she gets a staff reminder, someone else is waiting. . My eye exam results (L) same (R) different. I received a prescription for only one eye. (they do not normally make one lense) that caused a problem, and w ability to read, and for both eyes not just 1. I again paid for another eye exam with another ophthalmologist that confirmed that my right eye prescription off by a couple of clicks. So back to eyeglasses place to have the lenses remade. My wife's eye exam was straight forward. However the bill was not just for an eye exam, whatever the claim, it was based upon time spent? It was a routine eye exam, nothing more.

(And I so really really wanted to also add --and again yesterday when I responded YES to the text your office sent asking me to confirm my appt -- the very same text message that also indicated that if "I" were to cancel less than 24 hrs there would be a $50 cancellation fee.) I wouldn't be so salty about it except that this isn't the first time it's happened!!! At a prior appt, a couple of years ago, I literally was walking from my car into the store for my appt when my phone rang informing me that the dr had to cancel because Dr had an emergency.
