Wow I'm surprised to see all these negative comments. It's been at least 3 years for me, but my case was approved. Keep in mind every case is different. They handled my case great and took a lot of stress and anxiety off my shoulders. From start to finish, yes it takes awhile. But From what I understand that's the normal. I think this firm they has not yet sent me certain information that showed their argument for the appeal. They said they did. I just found out today I was denied but according to the due date for me to file a civil appeal, they knew August 22nd. I talked to them after that date and they said nothing!? They will take 25% but do 10 % of the work. We filled out our own papers, made our own phone calls. When I called them to tell them we got papers they said " Yup you fill those out." I asked what exactly do yo do? They were pleasant on the phone but do not do anything to get your disability approved. Unless you go to court which most cases do not do this is a waste of your money you deserve to receive. Once we got approved suddenly they call , suddenly they want to know how its going. Before you decide to trust the BBB or other websites read their review rules. Do not use their services. They are not concerned with your well being just the bottom line. I don't even know the name of the lawyer they assigned to me. The lawyer was completely unaware of what was in my case and didn't contact me before the hearing. They said they tried but my phone records state it differently and I mainly communicated through email and the lawyer never emailed me either. I feel like I was the one putting in all the effort and that I was just a number to them. I met my lawyer at the hearing WITH NO PRIOR CONTACT! Using this company is a wasteful resource. i dont understand this low rating they worked at a distance with me and swiftly answered all my questions and got me my dissability approved pretty fast they only had to appeal once and jessica was fantastic even years after my settlement to direct me give me all the numbers to help with many things get me my records; she was also thorough and efficient polite and caring and was detailed so i understood why certain things could or couldn't be done with different stages. i am mad at these low reviews. just a bunch of complainers i have referred numerous people to talk to them i hope they did because without them my life would not have been turned around. i recommend highly and i was living injured in my car i now have our own house me and my sweet little service dog i got after my angel service dog passed over in the middle of all of this, if it wasn't for my attorney here i wouldn't have been alive today i was giving up. this is a good law firm screw the other reviews if they are ever low read more

The attorney and the researchers that were assigned to me always stayed in touch either through e-mail, phone calls or the regular mail. HORRIBLE PLACE, THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE! Myler is a call center! They harass you to sign and NOT DATE a new contract allowing them an additional undisclosed amount of money above the 25% allowed by law. It's like signing a blank check. They do not pick up the phone, returns calls or reply to emails. I hired them over a year ago and they still have not requested any of my medical records. No one there knows what's my medical condition. Some time ago my claim was set for trial and they will not assign me an attorney. Several weeks after SSA set a hearing date for me Myler sent me a letter stating they've requested a hearing & it will be about 12 months for a hearing date to be set. I've had to instruct them throughout this journey what they need to do, and now they refuse to do literally anything at all. Myler Disability is a sham that ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY. If you sign that contract allowing them more money and your claim is denied you still owe them money they have not worked for. Their site claims all their advocates are attorneys, I've never encountered an attorney less qualified than this place. All their heads together can't get it right! read more

First off It's a CALL Center, than never gets you to a real person, case manager, etc. ONLY an extension to leave a message, that they will get back to you in 24 hours, usually not true!! They suck at getting you a hearing for your case. They do not have local offices in most big cities, ie: San Diego, Ca. so likely will not be able to send a real attorney to a local hearing in your city which is usually needed for more difficult Permanent Disability cases. My son has had 2 denials, in working with Myler, NO request for Hearing with the SSA ever made or suggested by Myler!! I did not know what was really needed until speaking to a local SSA Disability atty, who as all Disability firms charges the same 25% of your overall initial claim payout, BUT local firms atty's answer their phones, and get you the right info to results!! I am extremely upset with the current service that I have been receiving from your firm. My case was split up between yourself and another firm because the decision that the ADJ made seemed to be unfair and it was advised that this would be split with the Olinsky Law Group and a new case be started where I reside now in Savannah, GA. The first case group that I was with was very friendly and on top of everything. Sending me the information that I needed to fill out in the timely manner and follow ups if it had not been delivered. In the same token, when I received anything from social security, I was able to ask if I needed to fill out any additional information, and most of the time, it was no because they had my updated information that did not need my signature or attention because it was taken care of. Now with this new team, it seems that they honestly do not care. They call me for random reasons, and hang up. Just recently, I got contacted to verify my email address twice, and then hung up on without any explanation. When I contacted my case team last month to find out why I had to refill out information that was already done in the intake and updated information, only to be rudley told that I needed to do that myself. Now if I have to do this myself, what is the point of having this firm represent me at all? It takes away from the medical care that I am trying to focus on, my homelife, and overall, my mental healthcare. In addition, I sent updated information on October 9, 2021 for additional changes in my healthcare. When I called to inquire about if it had been received, I was told that it had not and I could send it again, but I have a read receipt stating that my email had been opened twice on October 22nd. That is two to three weeks ago and I was pretty much lied to because this same woman on my case team stated that she looked and could not find anything. I have some very serious changes in my healthcare status and I tried to speak to someone today with not only an attitude, but very dismissive about my email. She said they received records, but none from anywhere that I had emailed them about. I have inquired about forms that need to be filled out with responses that are very unsupportive. I even asked to speak with my attorney on file or to leave a message to which I was told that I could not and they would not because, "he is very busy," and this was not the attorney that I was originally assigned to. Being a disabled veteran who has recently found out about some serious brain conditions that have been ignored for 17 years and two new diagnosis does not look promising, I would have liked for my team to take better care of my feelings, and the seriousness of the matter. As I know that I am not the only one that they must attend to, what I have asked for is not unreasonable and I am seriously losing faith that this firm or at least the case team that I have been assigned to have the very best interest in my case to do everything that they can and to take into account every provider that I have tried to give to you in order for social security to make a full and informative decision. I am considering looking elsewhere for my representation because this firm is not what it used to be and at least for myself and my family, I deserve better than what I have been getting. And for the record, receiving imaging reports that I self sent to your firm does not mean that I have a firm diagnosis as of yet. That is why the updated information of specialist that have been provided for elevated care is crucial, otherwise, in my opinion a guess is not a diagnosis which will be irrelevent to social securioty. First off, I recognize that everyone's experience is different. What I would like to point out, please also read the reviews on other websites, such as the BBB...etc, etc, etc. Myler has an outstanding reputation. After 31 years, 8 months and 14 days of military service, I was medically retired on 20 Jan 2017 and received a 100% combined disability rating from the VA. I started my process with Myler in Jul of 2017, after filling out an online form just for GP. I got a call the next day and have had steady communication with them by email and phone since then. I understand that this process is frustrating-by design. I feel that it is SSA's job to figure out how to not pay you disability, and only after it is more work to deny you again, will you receive a favorable decision. I initially was denied-as I expected to be. Myler appealed and I was denied again. I had a hearing in Nov 2018 and was denied again in Apr/May 2019. I received a call from a lawyer, whose firm Myler contacted, around the end of May/early Jun. He explained to me that the ALJ made multiple errors and wanted to know if I wanted to request an appeal and another hearing. He warned me that this could take up to 18 months. I told him that I had nothing else pressing on my schedule and to go ahead. I signed the documents that came in the mail authorizing them to represent me. There was a disclaimer letting me know that this would not cost any additional money as they would get paid by Myler. They also sent me a copy of the letter in which they appealed the ALJ's decision and why (she did not contact any of my physicians), as well as alluding to a list of other errors that were made. Last night I received an email from Myler letting me know that my appeal was favorable and my claim approved. It also told me that it would take up to an additional 60 days before I would see a payment and that now the SSA pays monthly payments until they decide when and how much back pay I will get. -I read everything that Myler provided to me with my reading glasses on and understood the fee schedule and that there are some potential out of pocket expenses in addition to the 25%/$6000 fee cap. The idea that any firm would only get paid if they got the applicant back benefits is utterly ridiculous. -I have never had a problem with reaching someone from my team, or getting a call back on those occasions when I had to leave a message, or getting a response to an emailed inquiry. As a matter of fact, the system is set up for your call to go directly to your assigned team. There were many occasions, when my case rep called me, but I did not answer, because I knew she was calling about me filling out my paperwork that SSA had sent to me. She then called my husband, who then called me, but I was just too stressed out to deal with it. -The main reason why my initial and the first appeal were denied was my fault. I was mentally unable to fill out the documentation I received from the SSA asking about my limitations, daily hygiene, house work, taking care of myself, etc etc...It was too much for me and having to detail all my issues and how they were affecting me, moved me into a depression every time. I finally started seeing a psychologist, asking for and taking sertraline, as well as attending group therapy sessions at the VA. -One of the issues the ALJ had at the hearing was that none of my VA examination and subsequent disability findings, nor my DD214 were included in my packet. She did allow five days after the hearing for me to provide these documents. I scanned them in as soon as I got home and emailed them to Myler. That is the reason why I took one star off. Any time a firm like this deals with a veteran, those are the first documents the veteran should be asked to provide. -If it had not been for Myler kicking this can down the road, my case would not be at all...I would never have done it, shying away from having to go to all these places and trying to figure it all out. The fee really is peanuts considering what they have to do and the length of time, many if not most, that these cases can take. Understandably, they depend on volume. -After my cousin told me she had applied for disability benefits and was denied each time, I recommended Myler to her. She is also very satisfied with the assistance she has received thus far. read more

If I could give half a star I would. Incompetent record keeping. Lack of service and contact. Mr. Myler probably hires young minimum wage people. An example: My son is Schizoaffective, Bipolar (caught in the manic state), Panic Disorder, Anxiety Disorder. His conditions should have constituted approval on the first plea. If I had known he was filing for disability when he did, I would have certainly hired a local lawyer. Not only do they charge less, but keep you up to date. I phoned 3 local lawyers asking them if they would take over the case, but they declined due to the fact it was already in process With Myler he's been turned down twice. Unbelievable! These are allowable conditions. Even if it just happens to be also shoddy records from the clinic, Myler has NEVER ONCE gone over them with me. Not long ago, after all this time, the worker told me all 3 POA's were missing from the file and I had to resend them. However, they are charging me extra money for obtaining the medical records. Myler Disability is Amazing! I have alot of health issues and Myler Disability definitely helped me through it. 2 weeks before my case was to be heard by the Judge, Myler wrote asking for reconsideration and the Judge agreed. I received 7 years backpay. I don't know where Life would be without their hard work. I have had to obtain all my medical records and keep calling social security myself to figure out how far along my claim was trajectory wont call you and get irritated when you call them. This company goes out of its way to prolong the process of getting your money because the longer you wait the more they get on top of that there are hidden fees like lawyers and med info gathering that are not included in their 30%. It is beyond unethical and heartbreaking how badly these people treat you. I second all the comments below plus a plethora of other occourances, as I am in an almost 2 year battle. Their treatment of clients is inhumane. I don't even think follow the laws of what they say they provide for services. Their malpractice is of such great detriment to famillied well being and living. Regardless if I win or not, they broke our legal agreement on their end, yet I am to uphold mine and pay them a large sum of money. We may not be able to keep our home and stability for our children if I am denied, thanks to what I thought would be an honest and helpful law firm. PS. They first presented themselves as a law firm and then after you sign the papers they tell you they are an advocacy firm, big difference. They charge as much as a law firm but you do all the paperwork, they just file it. They also have a revolving door of employees and you are assigned to team 7, then team 6 , then team 5, I submitted a 1001 pages of documentation. My attorney was superb but unfortunately I only dealt with her, the last month of my 39 month ordeal. She did get me disability but the judge said he didn't see why I was denied in 2016 and had to have an administrative judicial hearing . I will tell you why because they are incompetent. They will also get kickbacks from having you sign up for a prepaid card you don't need and you never get a card or number but they will file that number as a Bancorp card with Social Security and your 30 months backpay are in a card you never needed or had access to. You learn of this 2 months later because you call them after spending 5 hours at the Social Security office and then they say oh you signed for this -it's called a Keepers card in FEB. 2015, but you probably threw the card out thinking it's junk mail. Don't worry.. you haven't been hacked..really and 16,000 plus dollars are sitting in an acct I have never gotten a number from or access too?Oh and to add insult to injury, they send you papers to sign with their insurance agent. Yes, contrary 2 what some of these reviews lead U 2 believe. I was hung up for years battling SSDI, finally Myler attorney ; Tim Carpenter, accompanied me into a hearing with ALJ. That was in December of last year. February I recieved Judge's decision which was "Fully Favorable". Including back pay to 2016. Great attorney!
