I ordered carry out and got dukkbokki. The portion was kind of small for the price... there weren't much rice cake in the dish, and it felt like it was mostly onions :( It was also very watery and not flavorful. I can't say much on the service since I literally went in and picked it up. It looked cozy inside though. It's a small store located behind CVS, and there is a parking lot.

A very cozy place for some comfort food. The pig trotters jim is full of flavor and sooo tender, highly recommend. They also have a restaurant mascot (doggie) named Mocha, who is the perfect little lady and will come for pets. The lady was very kind and friendly who served all of the customers who were there. Ban chan is on the light side, but I think standard for a homey establishment. The radish was especially refreshing!

**UPDATED MENU PRICES NOVEMBER 2022** Wanted to check out this "mom and pop" restaurant in Beltsville. There are a lot of them around the area and I was craving some kimchi jigae. It's a nice and cozy restaurant and it had 2 cute old ladies that worked there. The lady who greeted us was very welcoming and polite. The kimchi jigae was excellent! It comes out in a stone pot (as most Koreans restaurant do it) and it was sizzling when it came out. The kimchi tasted fresh and not too spicy. I would recommend this place if they are looking for a good bowl of kimchi jigae. The lady also said that they do mul-naengmyon all year round! Most places only do it for the summer but I'm going to come back and try that! I'm also curious to try out their fried chicken.

10/18/22 The soondooboo here is really good! There is a lady here she is very nice. The service is also very quick. When we first came in me and my friend were surprised to see a dog, but it doesn't bother you when you eat (i'm pretty sure they lock her away while there's customers) I didn't mind the dog because it didn't bother but maybe for others it will. The other thing is that the prices are expensive. The soondooboo was 16.95 and usually in other places like hmart, ga rham, shin chon, and etc. it's ranges from 9-13 dollars, so I do suggest going to somewhere else if 16.95 is too much!

    1/2 order do fried chicken

A no frills type of Korean restaurant. Sparsely decorated, one TV with playing K drama (not K pop) and a very friendly staff. We ordered bulgogi and unlike other places, they serve this on top of rice and provide veggies. Not sure if this is what we had expected, but it was flavorful and good. I ordered the chicken kal-guksu, but instead they gave me clam kal-guksu. It was a good and very hearty dish, despite the many broken clam shells, which affected my soup slurping. I am not a spicy food fan, so I can't comment on the spicy and hot jam pong, but my wife seemed to enjoy it. The knock of one-two stars was getting the wrong dish and the biggest let down was the fried chicken. It had no flavor and so heavily battered, it was a turn off for me. Next time, i will order the sweet and sour chicken. It comes with salt that you use for the chicken. How are you suppose to eat this? Make your own sauce? This place is A-OK in my book and good place if you are in the Beltsville/ College Park area.

Very friendly owner and food that tastes like home. There was Korean TV playing when I went in to pick up lunch (and one person dining in). I got a generous portion of tempura (I ate it before I could take a photo ). And the veggie kimbap - shown in the photo. My food came with a side of rice and sides of water kimchi, classic kimchi (sadly did not taste like my moms) and cucumber kimchi. Definitely recommend!

Spicy beef soup Lunch special for $10.95?
    Michelle H.

We were just looking for a place for some hot soup and quick bit. So we came here for some spicy Korean soup Ambience: very homie, simple. They even have a puppy jogging around in the Reaturant Service: nothing special, doesn't seems welcomed. But sometime people just have the natural attitude, doesn't mean anything ( i was telling myself this lol) Food: we got there 10 mins before their lunch special ends (yeah, lucky! Their lunch special till 2:30pm) we ordered one clear chicken soup noodle, spicy beef soup and a cup of ice coffee. Total for $29, isn't bad for the price but food nothing surprises us. The spicy beef soup has way too many green onion Highlight: at the end, after we pay. the owner (I think it's the owner) gave us 2020 calendar as a little gift which was a very sweet move, I have to change the start from 3 to 4 just for that

Great food and service. Love the veggie bowl and seasoned tofu. The flavors are exceptional, especially the sauce in the veggie bowl.

The Noodle with Pork & Black Bean Sauce and Noodle with Veg & Beef Spicy Seafood Soup are my top favorites noodle dishes here. We also got the Fried Dumplings, which were just okay. In the door the place was clean and well lit. Our server was attentive to us in the very beginning b I t did decline. Menu choices to me were a little odd to include everything is ala carte, you dont even get rice with a meal. We were a party of 8 so we all ordered something different. For me the food lacked flavor and the fried beef was like eatting beef Jerry. We had some children with us who dont eat with chop sticks and getting regular utensils seemed difficult. Our server filled our waters in the beginning but that was it, after that finding her for anything was not happening. Finally, they attached a automatic gratuity which i have an issue with, I am a great tipper but if service sucks then it should be my decision on how much to tip.

We came on a weekend ($34/per person) and opted for the additional ramen add-on ($3.50/per person), and all you can drink from a choice of 3 drinks ($10/per person). The appetizers were also included in the AYCE (takoyaki, gyoza, karaage, seafood pancake, edamame, corn cheese etc). The servings were good sizes so you can try other proteins. The ramen in my opinion was decent/average: I would only recommend it if you're craving ramen and there's nothing else in the area. One cocktail I tried was not good, and I waited for it to be watered down to be drinkable so I stuck with the Sapporo. You can only order 4 different meats at a time, and can only order with the staff. There is a self serve station of sauces and sides, including fried rice, seafood boil, fries and more. They have a small private parking lot, and there is some street parking next to the private lot. They also have K-pop music videos playing on their TVs. Their tables only hold 6 people so if you have a bigger group, you will be split up. Their menu is on a QR code.
