This is not a roid monkey MMA gym, it is welcoming to women and children.... my daughter would do anything for Judo Scott... her coach, and I love the kickboxing. My daughter can go to as many as 6 classes of marital arts a week for $59 a month! They have a nice food service spot in the gym, but it is Terri's protein cookies that make me dream of hot oatmeal heavenly biscuits.... mmmmmm cookies....

Plenty of cardio machines, the staff is friendly, and everything is usually well maintained. It can get busy at peak hours and it's not ideal for heavy lifting, but for the price and atmosphere, it does exactly what it promises.

The girl that did my trial with me was really accommodating with my injury and said that they have other trainers that are trained kinesiologists so it might have been better if I had gone at a time when he was there to get another approach. I was sore the next day in my upper body (boxing duh!) but I felt I should have done the circuit twice to really feel like I was getting a good workout. My search continues in finding something out this way fitness wise that I can join and get my fitness back up since my injury. The nice thing is most places offer trials and so you can try it and see if it works for you :)

With other gyms opening up in Langley recently, I'm planning on taking a look at what these new establishments have to offer, which is too bad, because I really like my personal trainer at Steve Nash. Another complaint I have is that the music is way too loud, and theres no water coolers to fill your water bottle. Given that most people have headphones in, I'm not sure why they need to blast the music. And I'd really prefer not filling up my water bottle in their nasty bathrooms or the water fountain.
