There are no menus so bring a phone, drinks are reasonably priced and despite the heat outside, the upstairs was a pleasant place to enjoy our meal. Service is uneven but still efficient and two standouts were the vegetarian option and the tuna. Tuna on a pizza might sound odd but our friend was pleasantly surprised and pleased he went outside his comfort zone.

The best part is certainly the cuisine: every sandwich or burger is a masterpiece, in which every ingredient is balanced with the others. I can't suggest one over the others (I have tried everything) but lately I prefer the burgers instead of the sandwiches: they are bigger and more particular in the choice of the ingredients. The special for the evening, a homemade gnocchi pasta with tomato, zucchini (vegetables grown in the waitress' garden), and a light sauce was excellent. The apple cake with homemade vanilla gelato is their signature desert and is simply wonderful. The service was friendly and helpful. I would recommend La Vecchina for dinner or pre/post dinner drinks.

All of it was excellent and service was quick. If you're craving a burger in Como, this is the place. Note - the burgers come medium cooked, so if you're used to well-done burgers, you may want to specify your preference.
