My favorite place for a light lunch. They serve greek food. Everything I tried here is very fresh. Everytime I come, they keep the place clean and food taste consistent. The service here is top and food always comes out hot and fresh ,its simple but SO VERY YUMMY. Refreshing and joy to eat ;) Last time I visited here was during Christmas. They decorated the whole restaurant with silver and blue ornaments ,colors that blended in with the restaurant theme colors, it looked so pretty. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This was my first time here. Came in for a Greek salad with chicken. I also order a side of hummus with pita. The hummus was pretty fresh and came out first. The salad was made well with some olives, green peppers,onions, cucumber and tomatos. Now the dressing was pink? I never seen a Greek dressing , it was a little to sweet for me. It's been such a long time since I had Mythos Grill, and I'm so relieved to report it is just as glorious as its always been! The service is top notch. They have things figured out here to run smoothly. Our food was ready SO quickly. The fried zucchini was piping hot and super delicious! They have some of the best restaurant ranch I've ever had, you have to try it! The Gyro was perfectly stuffed full of all the good stuff - the lamb so juicy and flavorful. Their tzatziki is fantastic. Perfect portions, in my opinion. I couldn't finish my whole gyro and ended up taking half of it to go. I think the value is definitely there. Went to Mythos Grill on W Market St in Greensboro for lunch with a friend. As we pulled into the parking lot there were few places left and we began to worry about getting in. When we went in there were about 4 ahead of us and only a few empty tables. However the staff is very efficient and our wait was short. I really enjoyed the Kabobs along with the side salad. The dining room is kept very clean and the staff does their job without being conspicuous. It is enjoyable to meet with friends here while having a great meal. read more

I recently lost my mind and bought a first class ticket on Delta One to Greece in December. I have never flown to Europe in anything other than coach, so needless to say this flight and adventure is on my mind and has me absolutely pumped! I'm even going to New York a day early so I can indulge myself in the Delta One Lounge at Kennedy which I heard is out of this world. I'll be writing a Yelp review on that experience to be sure! The last time I was in Greece was almost 40 years ago when my ex-wife and I went there for our honeymoon. In those days I was out of my mind, driving on a scooter along the ledge of a mountainside feel invincible and on top of the world. I'm sure the experience will be a little different at 72, but still amazing I'm sure. I am so ready!!! So, now you can understand why I have Greek and Middle Eastern food on my mind these days. Although I'm a pretty true blue to Odehs and Nazareth Bread, when Nancy recommended Mythos on Market Street, I figured we should give it a shot. I have passed it a million times and maybe ate there once a long time ago but it was time for a new look at this site and a new review. Mythos on Market Street is conveniently located In a shopping center that is accessible and spacious. What I also appreciated was they had outdoor seating. It was a gorgeous day and the perfect setting to sit outside and enjoy lunch, my dear friends and the beautiful weather as the air begins to cool. I went inside and chose the chicken souvlaki platter. Considering it came with a hearty salad, tzatziki sauce, pita bread and chicken, I thought it was well worth the price. I must say though, when Fred and Nancy's chicken souvlaki salad came out I decided that would be my preference next time. While mine had a lot of delicious bread on the plate, theirs was overflowing with big chunks of chicken and a delicious array of vegetables for the salad. I really enjoyed mine, but I will choose theirs next time. After you order you can help yourself to the soda fountain with unlimited refills which I love, and they gave me a number to place on my table. Within just a few minutes a waitress came out with our food. Very little time waiting considering they had a pretty decent crowd for lunch My chicken souvlaki platter was delicious and fresh and tasty. I was going to take half of it home, but the conversation was flowing, I was hungry and by the end of the meal the entire dish was devoured and it was yummy! If I have any criticism of Mythos's platter is I do like that Odehs and Nazareth Bread offer you some tantalizing sides. I would have loved to have been able to choose something like hummus or grape leaves or baba ghanoush to accompany my platter like they do with the other places. Makes for a more interesting meal. All in all, I enjoyed this lunch and thought it was a good price considering how crazy expensive everything is these days. I enjoyed the casual atmosphere and of course, I enjoyed my lovely company. This is a great spot for a lunch or dinner, especially if the weather is good and you can sit outside I cannot say that Mythos will compare the meals I will be having from my hotel as I stare at the Acropolis, but if I can't be in Athens, I can definitely be happy having lunch at Mythos on Market Street! read more

We ordered take out from Mythos on a Saturday. The food was hot and ready when we arrived to pick it up. We ordered 2 orders of the falafel pita wrap and a large Greek salad. The falafel was a bit dry and the salad was very tomato heavy BUT the wrap was good, the tzatziki wasn't too runny and the lettuce from the wrap and salad was still crunchy. The fries were definitely a highlight! We will definitely return to try some of the meat items and get another salad but I wasn't the biggest fan of the falafel. read more

So many great places to get delicious food of the Mediterranean influence in the Triad, and I am shocked I have not reviewed Mythos before! I guess this location is a little newer than the other on Battleground, but still, time to stop the excuses and get to writing. For Greek food, Mythos is the classic choice here in Greensboro. You'll find all your favorite gyros, souvlaki, salad, sandwiches, and some really nice specials like Greek spaghetti and lasagna. These days, you order at the counter, and they give you a number, your food will be brought to you. I think this is the preferred method for me, with so many restaurants having trouble getting fully staffed, I would prefer just ease that burden and handle my own drinks without a tip. On this visit, I had one of the combos. Chicken souvlaki with salad and pita, comes with drink, just a shade over 10 bucks. A pretty good deal in this day and age. My order came out in about 10 minutes, nice and hot. Was happy with the 2 skewers of plump souvlaki chicken, this was a nice protein boost! Not the best chicken skewers I have had lately, but very good. The pita was warm and fluffy. The salad is a basic greek, no complaints. I do love their classic "pink" house greek dressing. I kind of wish the salad used a lettuce other than iceberg. Overall, inexpensive, efficient, good source of healthy protein, and a restaurant that can please a crowd cheaply and easily. This is my go to for Greek food. I've been going to this restaurant for years. This is my ultimate comfort food place. The Greek spaghetti has such a rich sauce and the feta cheese just knocks it into another realm for spaghetti lovers. I also purchased a quart of their Greek chicken soup. The owner of the restaurant calls it "Greek Penicillin." Here is where you're really talking comfort food. Whenever I am not feeling well I get this soup and take it home. Greensboro is infiltrated with great greek/mediterranean restaurants. My wife and I always have a tough decision when it comes to picking this type of cuisine. Mythos it always in the top 5 picks for us, if not the top 2. The food is always fantastic, and unbelievably consistent, like perfectly consistent at both locations. I've been going to Mythos for years, if you havent been to either location, find the one closer to you and go. I usually get the 2 Souvlaki skewers (usually 1 chicken 1 pork) platter with double salad and no olives. Every aspect is tasty. The chicken and pork have distinct spice flavors and are grilled perfectly, leaving juicy meat with a slightly crispy outside. The pita is soft and warm. Their salad dressing is the best house greek salad dressing in the state. The ingredients in the salad are fresh, cut and displayed beautifully. Their tzatziki is creamy and goes perfectly with the meat. Literally everything on this plate is stellar. I haven't tried a lot of their dishes as I find the Souvlaki skewers to be such a good deal, I can't pass it up. My wife has gotten the vegetarian platter before, and each aspect is delicious. Staff is always extremely polite, quick, and helpful. I'm not sure what they do to keep their consistency, but the owners could be consultants for any number of restaurants and make them much better. They are doing a good job of managing covid too, they have to-go spots, everyone is wearing a mask, and plexiglass at the register. Check Mythos out of you haven't. We stopped in from out of town and this was hands down one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. We were immediately told there was table service after 5 and sat down and tended to. The service was amazing and we had Claire who was kind, quick, mindful, and professional. We got the hummus which was amazing and we both got the chicken kebabs with a Greek salad. I got fries with mine. The prices were extremely reasonable and the food was AMAZING. Everything had great flavor and it was like the yiayias passed down the recipes. The menu also had plenty of options to choose from. The restaurant was overall pretty quiet and quaint but had the Greek touch to it. It wasn't overly busy when we went. Everyone was super nice and even the manager was there working and spoke to us and made us feel appreciated as customers. 10/10. Definitely worth the time and money. read more

The Chicken Souvlaki Lunch Special at Mythos is one of my favorite lunch meals. You got a large (yet healthy) meal for a very reasonable price. It comes with 2 chicken skewers, side Greek salad, pita bread, tzatziki, and a drink for $9. Mythos is also very accommodating to substitutions and extras. I usually get extra tzatziki and use as salad dressing instead and I sometimes substitute the white pita for wheat pita (didn't today). I love having healthy yet delicious food options. They are a great choice for dine in (outdoor seating too) as well as take out as their food travels well. I think the cooking of their meat is what sets them apart. I don't know what they use but their meat marinades are so good. Also, I got my meal via GrubHub, this was the first place I have seen use the "tamper evidence seal" on the food container. First time visiting Mythos. Placed a to-go order for two gyro platters, kids spaghetti, kids grilled cheese, and a side of spanakopita. The employees behind the counter were very nice and I was in fact greeted as I walked in the door. Very welcoming to say the least. The gyro platters come with rice and Greek salad, just Greek salad, or fries and Greek salad. I got one with fries and salad and one with only salad. The gyro meat was thicker than a shaved off the spit type of meat but just as tasty. The salad came with a sweet vinaigrette dressing adequate amounts of feta, a few olives, lettuce, small diced tomatoes and could have used another slice or two of red onion for my liking (came with two rings) but was certainly a good salad otherwise. The tzatziki was good. The kids spaghetti was good. The grilled cheese was well cooked. The fries were well cooked yet under seasoned. The spanakopita was flaky with a perfect balance of feta and spinach. The one ordering issue that wasn't apparent was ordering the kids meals. It says it comes with drinks and I was wrong to assume when I got my bags of food that that meant boxed drinks or something packable. Apparently, when I called back to inquire, I was told that you have to ask for the drinks. Looking at the receipt it does say "No Drink" but I was never asked if I wanted drinks or not and assumed that when it's listed on the menu as part of the meal that it would be included without having to ask. I guess you live and you learn but take note in case you're ordering with that impression as well. read more

Mythos Grill was an okay substitution for my favorite Jack's Corner, who has been closed down since beginning of COVID 19, and another favorite, Odehs Mediterranean ( I didn't feel like driving to High Point). I went on YELP to find Greek food and Mythos popped up. It's not too far from my house, so I went. Tucked away. I've actually driven past it many times and had never noticed it until the GPS said, "You've arrived at your destination!". Customer service was great! The young man met me with a nice greeting and I could tell he was smiling behind his mask! All employees were wearing a mask and gloves! Yayy! They are open for dine in, but I opted to take mine home. They also have outside seating that is open. I ordered the Greek gyro with rice as side, chicken and rice soup, and a grilled chicken greek salad. The gyro meat was delicious and the soup was pretty damn good. I'm glad I ordered a bowl and not a cup. About a 50¢ difference. Go for the bigger size. I gave this review a 4 because my salad was over $10 and was a basic salad. No frills. The best part was the chicken and the 4 olives. There was barely any lettuce in the tray and some of it had that red stain on it that comes from when it's exposed to air too long. 2 big onion slices, 2 big green pepper slices, 4 cucumbers, one in each corner of tray, and a smidge of feta cheese. I definitely would never order the salad again, but what ever that grilled chicken comes on, I will definitely order that. Chicken breast was very delicious! I would have the gyro, chicken and rice soup, and grilled chicken breast again. I was not a fan of their pita. Not as good as it used to be. Barely any feta on the salad, chicken and pork of lesser quality or cooked differently - more chewy and stringy, less great. Frugal with the pita bread. Great price on kids meal, though and excellent baklava. Nice people running the place. This place is all about the food. My first time at this location . We were very warmly greeted. I mentioned that we were going to a show and the hostess made sure our server knew. We were waited on promptly, the food came out quickly and it was great. The food tasted so fresh and, the only word I can use is clean. All the flavors melded . Some stories are true, and others are just Mythos. The notion that this is the best Greek place in the Triad is one of those Mythos, and you can call me one of the Mythosbusters. See, it's not as good as Sarah's down the road, and a little bit more pricey, and wait time can be long, and some of the service is really not as friendly - but others are really nice which makes up for it, and the food was decent... it wasn't too bad even though like I said it wasn't the best value like Sarah's. So I'll give it a four-star although it's closer to 3, but considering it's in a city which is not famous for having top notch food, it deserves some Kudos just for serving up this stuff to all the hungry locals, and it's extremely popular and full of cute people too. read more
