My first time having Korean dumplings! This is a homey little spot in Ktown. The parking lot appeared to be almost all valet. Otherwise you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. My friend and I were greeted by the friendly waitress, but otherwise left alone. We ordered a few different dumplings to share, which was more than enough food for the two of us. The king steam dumplings were huge, but my favorite was the spicy steam roll dumplings with pork and shrimp. The spicy sauce it came with made those ones extra tasty. The flavors in general seem rather mild, so not my favorite dumplings I've had, but delicious all the same!

Cozy little spot in Ktown, the share a small parking area w a couple other spots but u can also easily find street parking. The food was definitely plentiful and pretty tasty and the steamed dumplings we got were huge. Worth a try especially bc everything is pretty cheap.

The dumplings were huge and delicious. The staff was really nice and we loved the service.

Saw that Anthony Bourdain liked this place and he wasn't wrong. Been here twice now and the staff is super nice and the food comes out quick. I love starting off with the cucumber salad, followed by an assortment of their dumplings. The roll dumplings were a surprise hit for me. Then I top it off with one of their soups. Both the spicy beef and beef short rib soups are delicious. It's really a preference thing or what you're feeling that day. I'll definitely be grabbing some frozen dumplings to take home next time. Both times I've been here, the parking was super easy but I've definitely seen the lot get full.

My favorite place in ktown to get quality dumplings. I've come a few times to dine in and once to purchase packs of frozen dumplings. You can really tell the quality of their frozen dumplings are way better than the frozen ones you get at the korean grocery stores. Their menu is not big, but they do so well to craft a really good plate. Portions are AMPLE. The Korean style steamed dumplings (#12) are GIANT. Almost the size of my palm lol. There is so much filling in it that you could eat a few and be full. The pan fried dumplings (#8) are also great if you're looking for a crispy choice. You really can't go wrong with anything you order. On a recent visit, I ordered the tofu salad and even though it's a fusion style salad, I really loved the pairing of cold tofu with arugula, walnuts, and yuzu jam dressing! Their banchan is simple: kimchi and pickled turnip, both are made really well. This place is a staple in my ktkown book!

Myung in Dumplings feels like you're visiting your Korean auntie's house and she's about to make you some delicious food! The restaurant is rustic and small playing lounge like piano music and it's snuggled in between a bunch of other different businesses inside of a shopping plaza. I enjoyed everything I ordered but the steamed kimchi dumplings stood out to me the most with that signature spicy kick. The soup dumplings were also very tasty. Portions are very large so you won't have to order as many dishes like you would at a Chinese dim sum restaurant that usually serves smaller plates. I wish I could add more to this review, but the restaurant is pretty straightforward with a limited menu and a polite, but no nonsense staff. I love places like this that truly represent the culture and the food they stand behind.

So fluffy indeed, and great value! A plate of the 4 pork buns is only $13 and the portions are massive. I could comfortably eat 2 of them. We ordered too much for 2 people and had to take 4 of the buns home. Taste wise, I think it's alright (speaking as someone who prefers the taste of Chinese dumplings), but the texture is everything. The texture of the dough is so soft and fluffy, yet also chewy. I'd get the pork buns again, but would skip the vegetable buns, mainly because I thought it was a little too bitter from the cabbage or chives. The pork and shrimp boiled dumplings are solid as well - cooked to the right chewy texture without the skin getting soft. I re-steamed the leftover buns a couple days later and they still had the fluffy and chewy texture.

The food was so delicious and the service was amazing- i felt like my mom and grandma were in the kitchen! everything we had was tasty! the ambience was chill and the decor is simple but unique! my son loved the red bean buns ! i can't wait to come back and try some of their other menu items!

I was craving dumplings and stopped in at Myung In one afternoon. It was not crowded and I got seated and helped right away. I ordered the tofu salad and then made a fatal error and decided to order the king steam dumplings. Do NOT order these if you come on your own like I did! They are softball sized! I got the pork and kimchi and they were good with a little kick. The dumpling dough was perfectly fluffy and chewy. The tofu salad was also so good! Whatever dressing they used was sweet and soaked into the silken tofu and the pickled onions were a great addition. I did have to get up and ask for my check but I don't have any complaints about the service otherwise! There is a parking lot but I was able to find a street parking spot on a side street.

Limited choices due to it being Father's Day. Sadly food was eaten semi cold since we waited to eat it. The kind lady was helpful. I lowered the two stars since the food was yummy but not mind blowing.

This little joint is the place to go for dumplings. Tasty flavorful. This is a no frills no nonsense joint. What can you say? These are made to order beautiful dumplings. There isn't more that needs to be said. Go eat at Myung In.

We had a taste for some authentic dumplings in Koreatown. After vetting the internet, we chose here and weren't disappointed! My order of Fried Rice With Shrimp and Vegetables was amazing. As were the Steamed Dumplings, and both the Short Rib and Beef Dumpling Soups. And I felt generally safe parking there with the roving Security Guards present. Recommended for a delicious meal!

Small place but mighty taste if you love dumpling, this is the GoTo place. I ordered the Kimchi dumpling and the dumpling soup. Love the side dishes that come with the order especially the tasty marinade daikon, it goes very well with the dumplings. Authentic taste, delicious. Waiting time is around 15-20 minutes for my Togo orders. The restaurant is clean.

I'm looking for the vegan options?

There's ixlb Dimsum Eats in Hollywood; it's not exclusively vegan, but they have vegan options. Super delicious!

Can you buy uncooked dumplings or buns togo?

    You can buy frozen dumplings

    Do they have soup dumplings?

I don't believe they do. It's a simple (and small) menu. Dumplings. Period. Fried or steamed. Three or four types. However, their sides are really good too. Kimchi, white kimchi and their kick-a%% dipping sauce.

We were able to order in the line, and got our food within 10 minutes once we finally sat down. I tried their handmade clam kalgusku soup and beef bulgogi. Both portions were generous. The kalguksu was incredible comforting, with chewy, long, freshly made noodles in a rich, savory broth that was packed with clams. The beef bulgogi was also delicious. It came with a side of salad and rice. The bulgogi was tender, well-merinated, and paired well together with the sides. We ordered the medium bossam, galbi kalguksu, perilla seed kalguksu and spicy pork. There were 5 of us but the portions were so generous, we had enough food with some bossam left over. The bossam was amazing! The best we've tasted. We all loved the perilla seed kalguksu due to its taste and also bc it's so healthy for you. The owner came by to check how we liked the galbi kalguksu since it was a newly created dish and we told her that it was delicious, seasoned just right. Before the meal, as they brought out the side dishes, they brought out barley rice with denjang on top to mix with yeol-moo kimchi. That was a special touch. We absolutely loved the food there. I saved the info so that we can return when we visit Koreatown again in the near future. Highly recommend this place to anyone who craves exceptional Korean food.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
