I first went to the right side, which felt pretty basic. There weren't any hot food options, just pastries, fruit, and a few light snacks. The food looked a bit picked over and didn't seem especially well maintained. I didn't see an attendant walk through that section.The whole time that I was there. The coffee machines were good with plenty of choices (lattes, espresso, americanos, etc.), and the drink fridges were well stocked with sodas, juices, Red Bull, and more. There was also seating by the windows to watch the planes. Then I discovered the left side... and it was a much better experience. It's noticeably roomier with several different seating areas, including comfortable leather chairs and couches. It also felt cleaner and better maintained. The food selection was larger, with more sandwiches, pastries, salads, and snacks. While I still wasn't blown away by the food quality, it was a little better than what was offered on the right side. My advice: If you visit this lounge, skip the right side and head straight to the left. It's much more comfortable, has a better atmosphere, and offers the better food selection. Overall, it's a nice place to relax and enjoy a drink before your flight, but don't come expecting an impressive meal.

While the hostess/initial server was a very abrupt, very haughty (with more than a tad of condescension) unpleasant, British woman, (so unpleasant that we were going to leave) the rest of the staff was better, some staff members even rising to the level of gracious. GianPaulo, for example, was attentive, accommodating and very pleasant, so we stayed. We opted to share the shrimp appetizer, which was quite tasty. We then opted for the salmon poke and seared tuna salad (their version of the nicoise). The salmon poke was not bad. The seared tuna salad excelled in both plating and flavor. The tuna was fresh and lightly seared, and the vegetables were also fresh and prepared perfectly al dente. As the restaurant was quite empty, after the initial unpleasantness, we enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing lunch. While we wouldn't "rush back" to Bamboo Bar, it's well located, has a pleasant ambiance, and the seared tuna salad was quite good.

I'm not much of a drinker, but my Basil Honey drink wasn't that bad (3.5/5 stars). No mini munchies were given to us, and perhaps it was because we didn't come at an earlier time. I think what gave this place a 4 opposed to 3 stars, is the free WIFI. You know I need to be wifi-ing because I'm not gonna pay for an international data plan. The rooftop view of the lake at night time was amazing no matter which room we were seated in. The service was fairly average the first night but quite good the second. The kids pastas we ordered were inexpensive but fairly small, my seven year old son predictably ordered twice which was just about the right portion for him. My wife and I ordered the tomahawk steak for two. The temperature and seasoning were actually done fairly well but the steak was a tougher cut than I expected. We opted for pastas the second night and the carbonara ended up being a good choice that I'd recommend.
