I need to preface this review by staying up front that I am extraordinarily particular and detail…read moreoriented client (I'm trained as an architect and strive for near perfection in everything that I do so it comes with the territory I guess). As much of a pain as I can be about my projects, I can say without a doubt that I would not only never hesitate to use (or recommend) J and the Luxcrete crew on any project anywhere (of any scale) at any time, I will literally always use them whenever I possibly can. From small renovation to a $200M art museum - I will use them if at all humanly possible. They make magic happen with concrete in ways that are almost unfathomable. It sounds over the top but I am being completely serious when I say that I had several people gasp out loud and/or say "wow" or "holy ¥&@#" the first time they ever saw the concrete floors in my old house (which went from being Asbestos covered gnarly concrete to an absolute show stopper). That house is soon to be published in Atomic Ranch and I made sure to give a shout-out to Luxcrete in the write-up due to the game-changing quality their work had on our project. J is a very hard worker and a straight shooter. His price breakdown was easy to understand and very reasonable. Now I have beautiful floors that will last for duration of my bar's life. He finished the floors with a clear coat that is very durable and easy to mop, but is not slick. If you are in the air on whether polished concrete is the way to go, J will come and do a sample spot for you. Any bids I have in the future will go to Luxcrete Concrete Polishing! Thanks!

The experience with J&C was quite the opposite: excellent communication, fast response for quote, competitive pricing, very knowledgeable, and the floor was repaired quickly and correctly. I am very pleased with the whole transaction and the results; I feel like a valued customer. Without a doubt, I will reach out to them again if I have more flooring needs.

We hired DM Hardwood Flooring Service to lightly refinish our floor after it suffered some surface…read morescratches. Demetrice showed up on time for the estimate on Sept. 27, 2020, and for the initial work on the floor on Oct. 7. Within five minutes of our leaving the house, he called to say that the job would cost $300 extra because it would require re-staining, to which we agreed. When we returned home two days later, 90% of the floor looked wonderful with the satin finish we had requested. However, the remaining 10% had not been sanded or received finish. When we called Demetrice, he agreed to come touch it up. Unfortunately, during this touch-up, he applied a very heavy coat of a shiny finish on the affected areas. When we called him back the second time, he said he would refinish the entire floor, which he did, with a less consistent finish than the first time. On one strip of the floor, his roller was not consistently covered with the poly, so the floor was striped. When he returned to refinish this strip, he again applied a shiny poly. Though he agreed to come back yet again to fix the problem, he never showed up and ignored our calls and texts. We have now finished this last strip of floor ourselves. Upon closer inspection, we have found numerous splotches of poly on the walls, woodwork, and carpet. The worst part is that Demetrice never apologized for our inconvenience of having our house disrupted for over a month or our having to pay for two nights in a hotel due to his negligence. We cannot recommend his work.

Alex was always communicative before, during and after the painting job, which included one side of our house, all the large soffits and trim, as well as porch ceiling. They caulked every nail hole, seam and blemish prior to painting, repaired rotten trim board with properly dryed wood (so it wouldn't shrink in a month) and went out of their way to add some paint to an area I only got one coat on and had needed to get to at no charge. The entire process was transparent and his breakdown of cost for each room and area to paint was awesome, so we could eliminate areas we could get to so we could hire him to do what needed to get done. He was great to work with, clean and thoughtful of everything from spraying bleach around the garden, to covering windows carefully before spraying and even coating an area again after he determined it wasn't up to his standards. Folks like this are truly hard to come by and I cannot recommend him enough. We didn't go with the cheapest quote we received, we went with the one who felt like they cared about us as a customer and who valued their reputation. That's a true, honest business.
