They have a large selection of international and basic food stuffs, the store is always clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and their produce is fresh. My favourite thing about the store, however, was their sale food. I've never seen such a regularly good selection in one place. If you live nearby I highly suggest coming at around 6 or 7 pm and looking in the meat cases. The butchers puts a lot of meat in there, and if you're willing to hunt through it a bit you can find some real steals. The veg and fruit had a bit less selection, but I could generally get a fair amount there as well.

There's also a café, pharmacy and optician as well as a photo processing unit. It also boasts the Direct catalogue, so anything that isn't in store can be ordered from the desk and will be delivered either to your home or to the store for collection. Everything is well signposted so you won't spend too long searching for what you need. The store is always well presented, the staff are more than happy to help (although the checkout staff can sometimes be a bit miserable!) and you can usually find a great range of products at a much cheaper price than you'd find elsewhere.

Parking can be a problem, you need to park in one of the main car parks, which if you have bags of shopping can be awkward. People do stop outside the shop to pick up but watch the yellow lines and traffic wardens. This does put me off shopping there and because the items are cheap its surprising how quickly you put items in the trolley and how much your bill comes to at the checkout. A great shop if you having a party and want lots of cheap party food.

My first time there, so give me a break, hey I only wanted petrol (well chocolate too) and had been told it was 'right around the back'. Ok, I understnd that instruction. But it evaporates when, as a newcomer, you enter the entrance of the car park. Where the heck is the back? I'd missed the sign of course, so I tootled round and about, and saw a chap in a reflector jacket, I asked him the way. He made sense, was insructive and clear, until I got to the corner he told me about. Hmmm, what's the worst that could happen? I kept going and finally actually saw a sign, just as I clocked the petrol station. The staff were very friendly indeed, and amused at the quantity of chocolate I bought. Alas, I still need to sponge my skirt as most of it melted on my lap.

My problem is always (and wherever I am) not being able to find my car when I finish shopping! Not funny when it's a freezing winter's night and one is having a youthful incontinence moment!!!!! The selection of fresh fruit and veg, fish and meat (everything really) in Tescos is brilliant and it is very hard to drag me away from the chocolate aisle! I am a Cadburys Dairty Milkaholic and it has to be the largest possible bar available! I get severe withdrawal symptoms when I detox ocassionally due to the jeans waiste tightening feeling!!! When going through one of these periods I linger for many minutes at a time just looking at the chocolate on the shelf and willing myself not to put any in my trolley!!! A couple of weeks of this and the cravings disappear! I can spend hours in Tesco just looking, wishing to buy and thinking can I or can I not afford (clothes, books, shoes, bags, electrical goods, toys, games, kitchen ware, paint, DIY, the lot)! You name it Tesco has it! It's clean and staff are helpful plus usually share a joke with you, which always makes a day feel even better! I also have 2 lovely large cloth green bags but unfortunately I keep leaving them at home or, when I put them in the boot of my car I forget to take them out before going into the store! There is also a tesco's café outside and a costa nearby. There is plenty of free parking although I believe it is a crime hotspot so take all your valuables with you and do not leave them in sight. There are also a number of other shops nearby, including boots, M&S and Mothercare. This is a great place to do your week's shopping, but very big if you just wanted to pop in - make sure you know where what you want is!

There are friendly and helpful staff. It has it's own free carpark, which although small you can normally find a space. Range of goods is limited obviously, and only covers food, drink, and a few household items, but no clothing apart from socks! If you don't like to fight your way around a busy store this one is ideal.

The problem areas I find are amongst the value ranges where often, what you would find readily stocked in the bigger stores will not be available here. However, that said, it is a conveniently located branch for the local community and does serve a purpose. The only real big issue is parking which is very limited. The entrance takes you into a narrow one way track around the car park and back out again which can be a real pain when they get busy. The best bet if possible is to try and park in the small car park on the left as you enter the grounds which will save you a lot of hassle later.

To me, there's nothing like wandering the aisles of bright shiny department stores and spending lots of money on things I don't really need. Sadly, there are no Targets or Walmarts here, so I had to find another place to relieve the spending itch. This ginormous Tesco is perfect for that. Aisles and aisles of goodies to peruse. Lately I've really been enjoying their selection of Easter candy. The store is mainly a grocery store, though they do have clothing, electronics, household items, etc. I drag my husband here once a week for grocery shopping and am always impressed with how low the prices are. This place is always a madhouse, which I guess can be expected at one of the largest Tesco stores in existence. But it sure does make me feel at home!

You also get decent heavy-duty single use plastic bags in abundance, unlike the flimsy sort you get in the store. Having said that you have to book a shopping slot at least a month in advance for popular times (e.g. Friday mornings), which does involve checking out a basket worth at least 50 quid. This is not as bad as it sounds because you can always add and subtract that basket right up to mid day on the day before delivery. Beware however that the website gets incredibly slow as this deadline approaches, so you're better off finalising the delivery the evening before.
