I don't like pickles, and they are heavy handed on the pickles. We also tried the regular and beast mode fries. Overall, if you like pickles, maybe you'll like it, but it was not for me. Super small place. Went there on a Friday night, very busy, store is basically a L shape and the walking space is like 2 people wide. People trying to stand in line of order on one side, then there's the other side that's trying to sit and eat but also wait for their order so getting around was challenging. Staff was nice, but you could barely hear them with the number of people inside, but they're trying their bests so I don't blame them. Would recommend getting your food and eating somewhere else but at the same time you also want to consume your food as soon as possible so it doesn't get soggy. read more

Michelin Skateboarder burgers tucked away in Austin.... This little burger joint has its kitchen nestled between a busy bar strip and scooter parking. People pour out into the streets after placing their orders and leaving the compact restaurant. Open kitchen concept, you order immediately after walking in and then wait as the kitchen staff makes your burger. Fresh. Fries fried in beef tallow. Burgers and skateboard coloring pages line the walls along with the merch .... and the playlist bumps. Especially once the food comes out, idk it's like the music was enhanced or someone else hopped on the aux. the burgers ate fresh after 9pm (because happy hour, duh - $18 burger and fries) must be the best way. The cheese is melted perfectly, just enough jalapeños to give it flavor but not overwhelm you with spice and grilled onions. I didn't ask for any modifications and tbh for a burger next to bars after a good time, this is like the cherry on top. Honorable mention for this ketchup... it's not regular, is it Tony's? Surprised to not see a line this evening. Around 8:42pm on a Monday. Only one person customer at the counter inside. Ordering was easy and took about five minutes or so before my food was ready. I took it to go and had no modifications. Jalapeños and pickles came off when I got in after trying a bite. The burger was cooked well, toppings worked well and the fries were also tasty. Finally got an opportunity to try out the famous Wagyu burger here and it did not disappoint. I love a good smash burger and it was wonderfully saucey, juicy and had crispy edges. Yes we are still eating our way through Austin and Wow, what a a Damn great lunch at NADC (Not A Damn Chance). Their Wagyu smash burger, made with premium US Wagyu, is hands-down one of the best burgers we've ever tasted--my husband even declared it *the* best! Paired with ultra-crispy fries cooked in beef tallow (the best fries I've ever had), this meal was a pure joy to eat. The vibe at NADC is as fantastic as the food. The staff was fun, friendly, and welcoming. A shout-out to the awesome cashier who shared the story behind the name--originally, they wouldn't allow *any* changes to their burgers (hence "Not A Damn Chance"), but they've loosened up, letting my Husband skip the onions. The chefs were equally cool, making the experience even more memorable. We're already looking forward to our next Austin trip to revisit NADC. Bonus: we're dining at PastaBar Austin, which is the Chef that co-founded NADC's, for our final vacation meal--a chef's tasting experience we can't wait to try! I've been walking by this place for a year and a half but the price always kept me from trying it. Today i had a $25 credit from inKind (their payment service) so I decided it was time to try it! OMG! Not A Damn Chance will i wait that long to go back again. That's a delicious burger that's so tender and delicious. Even the jalapeño are perfectly cooked so they are just soft enough and crunchy enough at the same time. I also got the beast mode french fries which are really good and I bet they make the fries in house since they were different than fries you usually get. The service was extremely friendly and I was served very fast. When I said I was riding home on a rental bike and needed the food packaged well, since it would be held by a bungee cord, it got wrapped up very well and was perfect when I unpacked it all at home. Next time i'll stay and eat at the restaurant cause it has a very cool style and comfortable counter top eat at, as well as outdoor seating. read more

Very disappointed. I mean charging UTA for a smash burger and falling short on your already very simple menu. How hard is it to follow a simple menu. Definitely didn't taste like wagyu, more so just regular ground beef, tamed jalapeños tasted like banana peppers, grilled onions were more like steamed, pickles were just pickles. The ketchup for the fries wasn't great either, it was different but not in a good way. It was just to be "different" than traditional ketchup. Whataburger spicy ketchup would've helped out a ton. Charge me 16$ for a double, and instead gave me a single. RIDICULOUS! Yoooooo, this place is part owned by Neen, fantastic skateboarder, soon to be legend! Once finding out about his burger spot, I of course had to try it! I posted pics of the menu, their story and pics of the food. I will give them this, I went in 30mins before close and staff was amazing, they didn't complain or give attitude, they were very inviting. Thank you for that closers! Now the inside is pretty small, so do NOT expect fully to sit down, you can only stand and eat. The outside has a small bit of tables and chairs, but again, do not expect a full dining experience. Now, the food may come off as expensive but as I have said in other reviews, you get what you pay for. This is a great quality burger! If you want to get wild, get an extra patty and make it triple. The burger was made in 5 mins flat! Fries, were cooked quickly and burger was smashed thin and completed fast. Once opening it from the packaging, it was dripping with goodness! Amazing burger. Now the flip side of that. $16 for a burger that you're still going to be hungry after eating is a bit insane. I get it's Wagyu, but come on... My carnivorous leanings left me hankering for a hunk of quality beef and it seemed that NADC Burger might fill the bill. Conveniently located near my barber and other Sixth Street hangouts, the restaurant is a small storefront with limited bar-style seating and a counter to place your order. The star of the menu and in fact, the only entree, is the Not a Damn Chance (NADC) burger, two patties of 100% American wagyu beef raised right here in Texas. The beef is sustainably grown at the R-C Ranch in Bailey's Prairie, where they focus on creating a high quality product and utilizing the entire animal in their butchering process. When dining here you get to see the burgers make their journey from rolled ground meat placed on the grill and then pressed with an iron. After cooking, these burgers are assembled and served quickly. These patties have an excellent, rich texture and are topped with American cheese, onions, pickles, special sauce, and "tamed" jalapenos, ensconced in a toasted potato bun. I have a love/hate relationship with American cheese. I don't like the way processed cheese is made but gosh darn it there's just something seductive about that golden unctious goo that glues the burgers together. Nevertheless, the flavor combination is unique and really delicious. One other nitpick I have is about those potato buns. I know a lot of folks like them and they do have their place, but I strongly feel a brioche bun would be a better choice. Potato bund tend to get soggy and the rich fattiness of the meat could be better sustained with a bun that can stand up to the moisture. I also prefer the sweeter, buttery flavor of brioche but maybe that's just a personal preference. The fries are pretty tasty as well, seasoned and nicely fried. I would like to see fresh cut fries though and I think they'd make a better partner for these awesome burgers. Service here is friendly and fast. This may become a regular stop after my haircuts. If you want a wagyu burger, this is the place to go. Recommended. read more

The service was good, although a little bummed they didn't have beast mode fries and they ran out of ice cream by the time we ordered. I can imagine when it's super busy that most people would just eat outside standing because the inside gets cramped quick. The burger and fries together aren't worth the $25 price tag. The fries are amazing and id get them again. The one upside is this place is open till 3am on the weekends so if you need a place to eat they'll be there. Burger: 6/10 nothing special. If you love a greasy patty melt then you'll love it. Personally I could only get through half of it before I had enough of the grease. TikTok led me here and I'm not disappointed about it. My husband and I really enjoy Austin for many reasons, with the food scene being one. The restaurant itself is very small with a few outdoor tables and indoor bar style seating or standing areas. It's a solid quick meal which I appreciated. The jalapeños and grilled onions were the perfect addition and not spicy at all. It was quite greasy but good for a rare indulgence. The fries were also very flavorful and the relish was a great touch. The ketchup is delicious so even the basic fries are a solid choice. The only reason I deducted a star is because I do feel it is slightly overpriced for a burger.
