My husband and I had a very disappointing experience here. We were new patients and were asked to come back several times with no regard to our time or schedule. My husband was told by Dr Ahdout that he needed a deep cleaning with additional gum medication at $350 out of pocket. My husband requested to proceed with only a deep cleaning for that visit. Dr. Ahdout became frustrated, recommended seeing a different dentist (he recommended seeing a different dentist each visit), and told my husband to have a nice day. The staff were unprofessional and unfriendly. The dental hygienist also did a horrible job at polishing my teeth. I have a permanent retainer and she skipped cleaning that sort. Never in my life have I had a dental hygienist skip my teeth because of my permanent retainer. I was able to proceed with a "deep cleaning" and it felt no different than a regular cleaning. I also checked my teeth after and he did not do a thorough job. It seemed as if this office was trying to squeeze additional services to make out HMO policy more worthwhile for them. My mother recommended this dentist to me after I had a horrible experience with another dentist just up the street on Ventura Blvd (a place where there are tons of patients, and dental assistants with little experience do everything, including causing excruciating pain and butchering your mouth). My experience with Dr. Ahdout has been the polar opposite. It's a small practice, and he does most of the work. He is like a ninja with those numbing shots--you won't even feel anything! I was missing a couple of teeth, and for years I had been living with the gaps in my smile. On more than one occasion, I had estimates for the cost but never felt I could afford the expense. Dr. Ahdout went the extra mile and not only recommended financing for me but also gave me a significant reduction cost so that I wouldn't have to make payments to multiple lenders. Regardless of the discount I was given, I still feel I got the absolute best care. The doctor spent time and care to make sure everything fit perfectly. Also, on a side note, his dental assistants are great and very caring, even moisturizing my chapped lips when I needed it during the procedure (it sounds kind of goofy, but believe me, it was like a glass of water when stranded in the desert). I have been going to Dr.Ahdout as a regular customer, possibly this is my 3rd visit on 31st Apr I went for a cleanup I did notice last time also my teeth were not cleaned fully and I was rushed I reported to the reception also told the doctor hoping things will change. It happened the same way on my 2nd cleanup too I was rushed and had to go today June 2nd again for cleanup not done and rushed in the first place. He rushes and will keep upselling which I have no problem with when you are cleaning and selling but not okay if you cannot clean thoroughly with professional service and it is so annoying he keeps talking right in your ear. Later when service is done he has his way of explaining why he couldn't do it properly. Which is not my fault for which you charged me already.
