Was so disappointed, nothing stood out, ordered their most popular sushi and was so very disappointed! It's not exactly cheap either! All different ingredients ie fish riches, tobiko, all just tasted the same, like it had been prepared before and put in the fridge, just kinda all tasted blah. I ordered pickup the other day from this place. It was relatively weird to get to because it's on a one way street. There is street parking but it's metered. I parked on a side street quickly and ran in. My order was finished in maybe 20 minutes - I was impressed. I got the spicy maki combo and Kung Pao chicken. The maki combo was decent - not bad but not great. HOWEVER the Kung Pao chicken was amazing! It comes with white rice and the portion size was just right (for me). So here's the thing: Bamboo shoots are terrible. Bamboo shoots are in just about every variety of ramen and the broth SMELLS like it, fortunately the broth doesn't taste like it. However this is only a minor complaint, really the broth was very thin and watery, there isn't much flavor, just a bit of salt. I'm not too sure if the restaurant used ramen noodles. The look and texture was very similiar to spaghetti, they were straight white noodles that didn't have the chewiness or crimped texture of a typical ramen noodle. The egg was hard boiled, which isn't a deal breaker but just isn't that great. But they were warm not hot, and had just enough flavor to be tasty but the lack of warmth subtracted from the flavor. Order the G3 ramen, I don't think they are ramen noodles. (Confirmed with our waiter that they are not but they have real ramen noodles coming in from Japan this week because of a complaint they received about the noodles not being ramen. This came from the waiter.) The taste of the ramen dish was good, more spicy than flavorful, I would call it more of a Japanese style ramen soup. This is only the second time I've ordered from them but I highly doubt that I would be ordering from them again. I ordered through their website instead of GrubHub and that was a big mistake. I was given an estimate of 35-45 minutes. I called to ask where my food was and he told me the driver would be here in 15. 30 minutes later the driver shows up. At this point I was not interested in giving a tip. I rounded up to the nearest dollar and the guy had the gall to ask me "no tip?" Um no. Came here for ramen on a random afternoon. There is plenty of parking on the streets and in a parking lot behind CVS, so it didn't take long for us to park for our starving selves. My boyfriend and I ordered each a bowl of ramen (one spicy, one not spicy) and an order of chicken wings. The ramen was REALLY good with its amazing broth that didn't take artificial. It really hit the spot for me. Portion was pretty good with lots of bamboo shoots (yes my favorite!). They give a big piece of seaweed too yum. Great amount of veggies as well :) The highlight of this meal was definitely the chicken wings though! Who knew these would be more than your typical Chinese restaurant chicken wings?! They were marinated really well and the portion size is pretty big compared to what I was expecting. With that being said....order their chicken wings! Service was great :) I believe this is one of the few ramen shops in Malden, so I will definitely be back! read more

Upon looking at their ambitious menu, the logical assumption is that any place purporting to serve sushi AND ramen AND Chinese food can't possibly serve any quality food. But, I read this Yelp review from Mr. "Ali G": "The ramen here is really good. The bone broth was delicious. I asked about it and they told me it goes for a good 15 hours. I also had the sushi which was very fresh. Service was excellent." and decided to give it a try for myself. Ali G. really got my hopes up, because I absolutely love Tonkotsu "bone broth" ramen and having one in my neighborhood would be a dream come true. To my dismay, that review is clearly FAKE (As well as Brian R.'s review saying he loved the ramen. Come on. You did NOT love the ramen) or Mr. Ali G. should have his Yelp account access revoked for helping the Chinese Food Mafia steal my $10. I ordered the Gekikara Ramen, the spicy pork-bone broth ramen and I got a clump of re-hydrated Maruchan noodles complete with flavor-packet broth (still in a rectangular shape, straight out of the package). I even asked the waiter if it was Maruchan noodles and he didn't even deny it. He actually defended it, saying "Yes, all the restaurant do this" and did not give me my money back or try to make it right. No, little weasel. All the restaurant don't do this. Their profit margins must be insane. Serving 10 cent cup noodles and charging $10 for them. Too bad nobody is going to come here and it will shut down within a month or two. That's what happens when your priority is not serving good food, but ripping off customers. I am writing this review to spare anyone else from eating at this scam of an eatery. I have never been this utterly disrespected before at a restaurant. To serve me f****** Maruchan and call it "Pork Bone Broth Ramen" is the most degenerate thing you can do. Very disappointing. I had the ma po tofu ramen. Everything in it tasted off/artificial, except the tofu. Hardly any pork or vegetables. The noodles were standard store-bought variety. Broth was flavorless. And, $13.95 for that. I had some issues with the food consistency when they first opened but they've gotten much better. They're customer service though is why I've given them such a high review. They remedied the situation when the food was bad and gave me my next order free of charge which I really appreciated. This time I ordered from them and the uber driver picked up the wrong order. So this is a review pertaining to my experience with a grubhub order. I'll say right off the bat that it's unfortunate I am giving this review because my experience wasn't all bad. I ordered a chirashi (raw fish) meal combo w/ miso soup and a can of Coca Cola on the side. Within literally thirty minutes of putting the order in it arrived! I was pleasantly surprised and rushed out to meet the delivery driver. Upon opening up the order and getting down to business. A nice cold coke, a nice hot miso, and what's this? A warmer than room temp sashimi dish. WARMER THAN ROOM TEMP. Like, warm to the point where you poke the caviar and it's congealed together. I did my best to eat it because I don't want to waste anything but I really couldn't. Rarely do I call a restaurant as well for a refund, if there's something wrong I usually just eat the cost because I know how it is running restaurants, I've been in and out of the industry for almost a decade. They told me that the only way they would refund me is if they came back and took all the food away. The whole thing, coke soup and all. I tried to explain that I was already eating the soup and drinking the coke and that if they bring it back they're going to throw it away. He wouldn't have it and got very angry with me, they NEEDED all of it, half drank coke and all. Probably because he thinks I'm lying. Come on. A first time customer, at least trust someone sometimes maybe they'll come back. So, alright, I told him I'd just call grub hub. They ended up calling the restaurant and tried to explain the situation and work something out but he refused to refund me and told me that unless I give them back EVERYTHING that I'm basically out of luck. So, the grubhub employee apologized for the unreasonableness of the management and they gave me a $10 credit, which is okay. I really am more okay with that, because I didn't really want to take money away from the restaurant. If they could've compromised and refunded just the fish, or half the bill I would probably be leaving at least a 4-star review but due to the stubborn, angry, and very selfish management I will never recommend this place. There was definitely a large variety of food here. As the place stated, they have sushi, ramen, and Chinese food. I got the Mapo Tofu Ramen. The noodles were good, not great (since they aren't a full on ramen place, I'm not going to crucify them for it). However the portion was definitely very filling. I usually order extra noodle or meat but the portions were more than enough. The waiter and chefs were very nice and sent us a couple of sushi dishes and appetizers, which were very good.
