I have meet him before, but I did not see him today. Today Lisa was the employee in charge. The dog in the picture is the real boss. The service here is always excellent from when I have been here. The merchandise here is lovely and I almost bought something for myself. I might do aquire something here one day, but I will have to give it some thought. From the moment they walked in, the attitude was incredibly uppity, dismissive, and unwelcoming. Rather than treating my husband with basic courtesy and respect, the staff made him feel as though he and his service dog were an inconvenience simply for being there. A service dog is not a fashion accessory, a pet, or something that should be treated with suspicion or disdain. My husband should never have been made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome because he relies on his service dog. What was especially disappointing was the complete lack of professionalism and basic human decency. You would expect a boutique that presents itself as an upscale establishment to understand that good customer service means treating every customer with dignity and respect. Apparently, that was too much to ask here. There is a huge difference between being an upscale boutique and simply acting like you're better than your customers. Unfortunately, this experience felt much more like the latter. We will absolutely not be returning, and I would encourage anyone--especially anyone who requires a service animal--to think twice before spending their money here. No amount of pretty merchandise or fancy presentation makes up for treating people poorly.
