I have tried Nah Nah Bah in the past but only the one in Praia da Luz. I was at this one with my husband and two kids and was very impressed by the friendly, helpful staff, the atmosphere to include perfect music that I could relate to and amazing food choices. I felt at home. I requested that the bacon in my burger not be made crispy and they made it to perfection. My burger was to die for. My family also enjoyed their meals very much. My husband had the fish tacos which were delicious and would work for those not wanting meat but I'd recommend sticking with the burgers as that's their specialty. Found Nah Nah Bah on Yelp and saw that they had a lot of vegetarian options which was perfect for our group. These guys easily have one of the best vegetarian burgers I've had! It's a delicious potato-y patty with veggies and their piri piri sauce. The dish names on the menu are a little cheeky, and the vibe inside is a little more casual/beachy so consider this your fair warning if you're looking for something super family friendly. Their house made chips are delicious as well - thin cuts of potato in garlic aoli, you can't go wrong with these! Service was super fast and friendly. After 4 straight days of enjoying the abundance of absolutely extraordinary seafood and humble culinary talent that Lagos has to offer, I felt like it was time to see if Portuguese beef could stack up. Nah Nah Bah was a short walk from my place and is ranked somewhere as a Top 50 Burger in the World, and sadly that is just not true. The burger was perfectly mediocre, it didn't have that hard crusty sear that is essential for cooked quality beef. Also the potatoes were not good, and the garlic sauce was worse (giving people bad breath for no reason). If you want to serve garlic aioli, you need to roast the garlic and add some rosemary or lemon and plenty of salt. Why are you putting fruit on a burger? The names of the dishes were also a little childish (the brownie dessert is called the Fudgepacker). Shout out for good music played loud. I have a hard time believing anyone genuinely thought this was one of the 50 best burgers in the world, because I'm from New York (brag) and I'm not sure this would be top 50 in my neighborhood. Skip this place and go get fish somewhere. read more

A ton of people told us to visit nah nah. There's a sign outside that says 'top burger in the world'. The place we were staying was less than a block away, so we had all the reasons to try it. Their menu is quite funny and had very not-so-subtle innuendos. I had the Rude Boy burger which had two large patties, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and onions plus BBQ sauce. All burgers come with nah nah house potatoes which have cheese and garlic on them. It was a Herculean feat to finish my burger. In fact, I resorted to eating the patties and topping without the bread. It was THAT big. My friends got the sheriff, the virgin, and noucan. Everyone struggled to finish their food. The burgers were good. This place gets busy. Fast. It's not the best burger I've ever had but I'd eat here again. Service was great! read more

Being an American in Lagos, Portugal is quite noticeable. I can sort of blend in while traveling through London, but Portugal not so much. So when a friendly local identified me as an American, he immediately recommended I check out Nah Nah Bah - a bar "run by Americans" as he explained. So check it out I did. As expected, it had all the markings of an American bar and grill. More of a beachside bar and grill than something you'd find in the Midwest with an emphasis on reggae decor and music, but a bar and grill vibe nonetheless. They serve burgers, nachos, rice balls, etc... And apparently said burger was named one of the 50 best in the world by an illusive publication I've yet find anywhere on the internet. I'll just trust an actual journalist bestowed the claim upon them and it wasn't cooked up by a clever marketing strategist. It's vibrant and perfectly enjoyable for a few drinks. Best burger in the world? - Nah. Staff very nice - kudos. Great music. Was surprised to find a small burger selection of 3 or 4. Had the blue cheese burger, and at 13 Euro, paid extra for bacon, not sure what that added for price, but... for Portugal, that's about 5 bucks above normal in the touristy areas. Starting to feel a little hypey. Taste was great, but overall a bit lacking - one thin slice of tomato, and wilted lettuce. Had a great pint of craft grapefruit IPA - reasonable at 4 Euro - yay! Chips were good, but not fries. More like thick potato chips and cold, not hot, and not very many of them. My two cents worth to add a little reality to the "best in the world" hype. Touted as the home of one of the best burgers in the world, Nah Nah Bah is a beach burger joint in Lagos, and as its reputation suggests, the main stars on the menu are the burgers. There are also salads and pastas available, but the burger is what the place is known for. We went on a Saturday evening, relatively early, between 6 and 7. There were a couple large groups of teenagers leaving as we arrived, but luckily we came at the right time, as another huge group came just as we left. The place has beer bench-type seating, as well as a few more traditional table setups. It's all very casual, with empty Corona six-pack holders at each table, holding utensils, condiments, etc. We sat in the back and were noticed immediately by a server, who gave us menus and got us some drinks. I had a Blue Hawaiian, and though I generally avoid cocktails because they tend to be not strong enough, I had a pretty OK buzz after this drink. The fellow and I both don't eat meat, so we ordered veggie burgers. There is one veggie burger on the menu, but you can also sub the patty on another burger if you want. We got one Virgin Veggie Burger and one Blue Ball Burger, and they came with garlic fries. Overall, I thought the burgers were pretty great. The Piri-Piri sauce is killer on them, and the burgers themselves are hearty and filling. However, the buns weren't toasted and the patties, though good, were a little generic tasting. It was really the other ingredients that made the burgers, I think. Overall, the prices are pretty OK, though compared to other spots in town, it can add up. Two meals and two drinks (one of which was a cocktail) plus tip came to €33, which is the most we paid for a meal in Lagos, or all of Portugal really. But the service was very friendly and quick, which I really did like, even if the blaring reggae was awful (I kind of hate reggae, but if that's your thing, you'll like this place all the more). read more
