Dr.B is a Godsend!!! I have been suffering from a Morton's neuroma and in 2019, I did a surgery to remove the nerve with a different podiatrist only to have more issues post-op. I was only made aware that neuromas can be helped with non-surgical methods and surgery should be the last case scenario... not the first. Long story short... it took 4 different podiatrist and nearly 4 years of pain and discomfort until I found Dr. B! She did a thorough assessment of my foot, all my MRIs, and X-rays , got detailed information regarding the history of my ailment and all medical/surgical interventions . She realized that my problem had to do with very high arches, bio-mechanics (foot posture) ,and the fact that the surgery I did in 2019 left me with a thick chunk of scar tissue that was creating mobility issues and localized swelling in my toes when walking or running. She gave me a single shot of cortisone to assist with inflammation/edema and break up the scar tissue and fitted me with custom orthotics. Within 48 hours I felt TREMENDOUS relief . It has been a week and now I am able to wear my favorite shoes without worry of pain and discomfort . I'm also able to go hiking and rollerblading again after 4 years! I went here for in-grown toenail treatment on both big toes. Injections to numb the toes were incredibly painful. At first I thought the procedure had solved my issue but I was wrong. The doctor said that the chemical she was using would kill the nail bed in that spot & prevent it from growing back. About 5 weeks later, the problem was back despite being told that any possible regrowth would take years. I made a follow up appointment & was not told that the doctor was out of town. Even when I arrived for the appointment, I was not told. I was put in a treatment room & a doctor came in & said Dr Birjandi was on vacation & that she was filling in. I told her the issue, she examined my toe & said the procedure hadn't taken & it would need to be repeated. I trusted she knew what she was talking about so I allowed her to repeat the procedure. A few weeks later at my follow up appointment, Dr Birjandi was back. I told her what happened in her absence & she became upset. At first the anger was aimed at the fill in doctor for doing another procedure so soon after the first one but then her anger turned towards me. She basically yelled at me for allowing the other doctor to treat me & said that the other doctor was wrong. I felt like I was being scolded, esp when she said that the smaller nail would be unattractive & as a female I should want cute nails for wearing sandals. I was truly shocked. I commented that if she didn't trust the judgement of the other doctor, why did she specifically pick her as a replacement? She didn't answer & after a bit more grumbling said I needed to come back again in a few weeks to follow up but after that experience I never went back. The issue has now returned for a 3rd time & I am waiting to see a different podiatrist hopefully to solve this issue once & for all. read more
