Although they got the job done, the place was extremely unsanitary. They asked me to sit at a nail station with some chewed up food wrapped in a paper towel sat there. The nail tech then proceeded to tell me I needed to get my eyebrows done because they "looked messy". When I politely declined, they started speaking about me in Vietnamese. I also paid for a DELUXE pedicure where she didn't even removed my calluses & the water was cold. After I told her twice the water was cold she disagreed with me. Went for the first time Mother's Day. I was shocked to find a nail salon opened on a Sunday. They were busy so the wait was pretty long but I also didn't have an appointment. Chris got me in and got my nails done right- dip was thin and natural the way it's supposed to be! I then broke one of my nails at work not 5 days later and Chris got me in on a Sunday again. They weren't busy and he got me in and out! Fixed my broken nail and had me out the door! Will definitely be going back here. read more

Never in my life have a been some where that took three hours to see us , but a week later every single one of us who had our nails done the paint is gone and it's was gel ! They take wayyy too many appointments at once. They have the workers bouncing around from client to client and not staying with one person. Filing one, gets up, puts gel on the next, gets up, starts a pedicure, etc. so you spend WAY more time there than you need to. The lady who did my pedi didn't even put soap on the foot scraper thing so it was painful, then when she went to buff my feet, put cheap hand soap on my feet. That was the only products used. Was there for hours. You can pay the same price at other salons where they use actual good products on you. Only one guy in there does acrylics, so if you want some last min, or have a cracked nail that needs filling without letting him know in the first place, you will be sitting there for so long while he does everyone else. I don't even know where to start. first off they started me off with putting on nail then didn't do anything to them for an hour and started working on someone else. the design and length is so off and terrible that i'm making an appointment somewhere else for tomorrow because i can't stand how they look. they charge me $69 with a $5 tip for this monstrosity. it was too much for what i got. they only did one coat of polish and there is a fiber in one of the nail. i came in at 4:45 and they didn't finish my nails till 7 and not because the design took long it's because the nail technician kept switching from person to person. moral of this is dont waste your time or money at this so called nail bar read more

My daughter went in to get her nails done. When she came out her nails were pretty messed up. Her hand was bleeding around the nail bed.I sent her back in there and the guy just laughed in her face and through her 10.00 back and walked away. I went to an appointment at a different salon and the smell was so incredibly strong I had to tell them right then I couldn't sit there for an hour to get my nails done. *disclaimer: I am pregnant but even if I hadn't been I wouldn't have been able to sit through getting my nails done with how strong the fumes were. * I called nail-Thology and they said they could get me in right then so I went straight over. The guy asked me how my day was and how I found out about them and I told him about my experience at the other nail place. He got me settled in and turned on the ventilation system and took out all of the trash to ensure the smell wouldn't bother me. It didn't smell anywhere near as strong as the previous salon, but he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. FIVE STARS FOR SURE. The man was yelling at me when I was waiting for my friends nails to be done. I was paying for both of us so I had to wait for hers to be done before I could pay. I'm visiting from out of town, and I found this nail salon through yelp. Couldn't be more pleased with how my nails look! I had an acrylic set removed and was really impressed at their OPI Gel selection. I am a licensed cosmetologist in Tennessee and used to do Gel/Shellac professionally, so I know the cure times, how important each step is, etc. I noticed Mrs Lena spends at least 15-20 seconds on extra cure time before painting nails on the other hand so that the polish doesn't "roll". That one little step will make the Gel mani last the entire 2 weeks. It makes a huge difference for someone that has their hands in water and cleaning chemicals full time. If negative ratings were a thing, I would definitely do that. I'm going to start this by saying, I was well aware I haven't had a pedicure in a few months. My feet were in rough shape. However, not to the point that the lady doing my feet was laughing and pointing and showing the other tech beside us how bad my feet were. The entire staff was laughing at one point. I may not know what was being said, but I know it wasn't nice. Even the nice lady, who was a regular of theirs sitting next to me said she was appalled by how they were acting. I also said many times the water was ay too hot, and that's saying something because I like the water hot hot! I'm not offended that they were speaking another language, because I actually enjoy listening and trying to learn. But this was straight up bullying. A friend and I went in for a basic gel mani/pedi. We had never been to this particular shop and wanted to give it a try. There were no other customers there when we arrived at 1:30 PM. Our nails are misshapen and filed unevenly. Some of my nails are square shaped while others are circular. My cuticles look horrible and now my nails are brittle and flimsy-with gel polish on them. My fingers bled and during the pedicure they nicked my friend and her toe bled for a solid 2-3 minutes. The gel polish wasn't cured properly and has bubbles and lines in it. The nail stations had gross stuff on them and were not even remotely clean. We were not charged according to their price list-instead it costs us $85.00 each. The nail technician was on social media several times which made me feel as if she was only concerned about making money instead of providing a good service. We left at 3:45 PM. I do not recommend this shop at all. When we checked the reviews before going, it seemed to be alright especially since it has been open since 1996 I assumed it would be fine. I have always had a good experience here. The owner is so friendly and understanding, which explains why they've been in business for 26 years in a constantly changing college town. Once, their card machine was down and I was getting my nails done while waiting for my car's oil to be changed across the road. I didn't have cash and the owner actually told me to just come by the next day. A year later, he mentioned this (as it was my first visit to their shop but he remembered), and I asked him why he trusted that I would come back. He told me that if I didn't, that would have said more about me than him and his business. Nails were lopsided and messy, first of all. The woman was very unprofessional and didn't even look at my hands straight up which is why they're crooked. The paint has bubbles in it and isn't applied evenly. The paint is also messy and the woman yanked my cuticles back instead of using a tool to cut the excess she just used her thumb to roll and push MY SKIN back. I had to use 3 different cards to pay because my money is all over the place and on the second card the man at the counter tipped himself $5! I told him to take 25 which would leave me five (he did not know how much was left) and even the receipt said he tipped himself what was left in my account! It completely slipped my mind until I got down the road and called back up there where he and I went back and forth until he offered to recharge it to my card... I paid for two full gel sets and got one nice set (for my sister) and an honestly shitty one for me. The woman who did my sister's nails was very professional and nice and I appreciate her very much. Chris wasn't there which is why it didn't go well I'm sure, but UGH!!!! SO dissatisfied. And I asked for almond and a lot of my nails are completely round!! None of them are even close to being the same shape, not even two. I would have been better off doing press-ons and you might be too. ALSO, I paid $85 dollars in total because he took the $5 or whatever change was in my account after the card fee. I would honestly like to be given the full $45 back for my nails and the $5, but he said he could just recharge the $5 and that was only if I went back up there. read more

This is a family-owned salon that needs to learn to separate family from business. At the University location they let their child run around the shop screaming, shrieking, kicking over purses, bothering customers, and jostling the eyebrow waxer's arm while she had wax suspended over a customer's face. This was a very unpleasant experience as the child was loud and ignored by his parents, presumably the salon owners. Please rein in your child before you start losing business because of him. read more

So when you first go, the very outspoken owner is the only one that does nails and he is going to criticize his competition and say he is the best. Until you see his complete work after your nails are done and you quickly realize he is full of it. After I got my nails done, one fell off two days later. When I came back to ask for it to be fixed, he tried to charge me when I strongly attested to be charged for poor service done, he got an attitude.
