I haven't been to this place in forever and just recently went for a pedicure. My toe had a little bit of pus. I only seen because I was feeling like the skin wasnt cleaned right so tried getting it myself but the first swipe pus came out on the tool. Never had this happen to me from getting my toes done! I'm not one to write a negative review, but I'm genuinely upset with the service I recently received. Service was so bad that the entire time I kept thinking to myself "I can't wait to never come back again". I probably should have walked out before they even started but this had been my nail salon for years. I've been a loyal customer for years, coming in every 4/5 weeks for gel-x, fills and pedicures. This time, I wanted to soak-off my gel-x set and get a regular manicure no gel because I wanted to give my natural nails a break. Instead of simply providing the service I requested, I received pushback and was repeatedly told to get gel. It took several minutes and even a phone call before they agreed to do what I was asking for. Also, it felt like they were forcing the lady to do my nails but I always see her doing pedicures. So why not tell me to wait a little bit for someone who was more comfortable doing nails. Yet, the lady who did my nails this time has done my pedicures before and because of her I stopped doing my pedicures at Ashley's because she was not doing a great job at all. Anyways, throughout the appointment, I felt dismissed. I wasn't allowed to look at the color books that were sitting right in front of me. She literally took the books away from me. I also had to ask multiple times for my nails to be cut shorter. I also explained that the skin under my thumbnails are sensitive and asked for extra care when cutting down the nail. But I had to pull my hands away multiple times because I was worried about being cut which has happened before at this nail salon. I bled and they still put the gel-x nail on my bleeding nail. Unfortunately, the finished manicure was disappointing. In the nail salon my nails looked okay, but once I saw them in the natural light, the paint job was horrible. The more I look at them the more unhappy I am with my nails. What's makes this frustrating is that I've overlooked issues in the past because I don't like confrontation. For example, sometimes they rush on my nails if other people come in and this is honestly so annoying because they could be doing such a great job. But as soon as someone arrives they start to rush and the nails end up just okay. Another thing about this salon is that they are not upfront with you. You ask for a certain color and they say yes, mind you these colors are from the books. Yet, when it's time to add the color they bring another similar one and if you tell them something that's when they finally tell you the color has run out. I think this is so frustrating because if you're telling me yes it's available first and then bringing something else because it's actually not but they know it's not available then just be honest! Another not so great experience that I've had is that one bristle of the nail polish brush was left on one of my nails and they happened to be my birthday nails. I was so sad but didn't say anything because I hate being confrontational. Even with the not so great experiences, I continued coming back because some employees genuinely cared and did a great job but it's only a few who actually cared. After this service, however I've decided not to return. Loyal customers should feel valued regardless of whether they're getting an elaborate nail set or a simple manicure. Better attention to detail, consistency, and customer service would make a huge difference in this salon. The pricing also doesn't match the quality we have been receiving. Spending $60-$80 for basic gel-x services when other nail techs offer better work and designs for similar prices makes it hard to justify coming back. I'm genuinely sad to leave this review because this salon has potential, but my experience made me feel more like an inconvenience than a valued customer. read more

This place is very pushy when it comes to regular polish. They push gel nail. My tech must of asked me about 20 times. They said they could also not add artwork to regular nail polish. Every visit I get a full set + full Pedi package - yesterday's visit will be my last due to lack of service and carelessness - I got my foot burnt with hot wax. UNACCEPTABLE My sister and I decided to take my niece to this place as her first nail salon experience and I regret every bit of it. My niece and I were supposed to get pedis, obviously it was a little busy so they attended me first, but then as we kept waiting they started attending other clients and forgot about my niece. I love the vibes in here it makes me feel like I'm at a spa. I gave it a 3 star because the quality of my nails did not come out good. My toe nails look rounded (and a nail salon should make it look squared). On my hand nails I could see the layers of nail polish because the lady who did my nails seemed to be in a rush and was doing it careless. I called to make an appointment for a full set at 4:00pm and the guy answering the phone did not take my name or number just stated "come in" I thought it was a little weird and headed to the salon at 4:00. I came in and the front desk guy (also answering phones) had a unwelcoming attitude, he did not hand me the sign in board more as launched it to me that the pen (attached to a string) rolled right off. Took my husband to get a pedicure for his birthday. We hardly go to salon because I prefer to do our manicures and pedicures to save $. We are firm believers of keeping our $$ in Paramount. We found this location. Seem nice, but extremely disappointed for the $$ we paid. My polish job was awful. Refer to the pictures for examples. I'd rather drive to ktown thru 1hr traffic than have this experience again. Felt I was upcharged and given a tech who didn't care. All I wanted was manicure and simple polish. Instead I got what was pictured with gel polish. Giving a 1 star because he cleaned up the cuticle, but didn't leave a clean canvas to paint on. Would not recommend. I pointed out the flaws to the man. He attempted to fix by filing down then repainting over! Just start over. Because he paid no attention to detail, he wouldn't fix the other 3 problems I noticed. The first time I came here I received incredible service. I had a full set and a pedicure. Both were done really well and my nail technician was willing to be creative with me and that can be hard to come by. Interestingly enough while having my nails done a patron was loudly arguing with the front desk gal about the prices always changing - like by the visit, one price last week and a new price this week - wouldn't you know it my own nail technician was nodding his head in agreement with the patron!!! This confused me a little but I let it go and left paying under $100 for both - my nails were around $55. The next time I came for a fill. I was told 15 minutes for a wait so I went shopping at Ross. 30 minutes later I came back and the woman at the desk told me it would be about 15 mins. Well turns out I waited OVER AN HOUR to have my nails done. It seems they always say 15 minutes instead of just saying they're not sure or over estimating. I'm not sure if they were just understaffed or what but it was just excessive! The kicker is I paid the same price for a fill as I did for the full set. Each time I got designs and the full set design took twice as long as the fill design. I asked why the price and the man said because of the technicians time.... uhhh that makes no sense but I refuse to argue. They knew what they were doing and they lost a regular patron. All this to say the woman from my first visit was Right. They don't have clear set prices and this is the first nail salon I've ever been to that decides on a whim how much to charge. I have been coming to this place for years with my daughter, usually we don't have a problem with the service but this last time I visited was disappointing My gel mani and pedi bubble and I was told by Chloe I have 5 days to return so it can be fix. Hmm I did go on Monday and they only did 5 of my nails that bubble but not my feet and they didn't even offer to give me credit for the next visit. I think when this happens the customer should receive free services on there next visit to compensate the time that was wasted on the outcome of there service and embarrassment I felt.
