Despite repeated complaints, they didn't discount one euro from the bill, in fact they argued that "that's how it should be served" (it isn't, ask any Sardinian cook). Truly terrible.

But my favorite pizza was the Primaverde Dell'Orto, a seasonal pizza of spring vegetables (leeks, spinach, olives, escarole), fior di latte, and a cream made of green peas (instead of tomato sauce). The highlight was the pea cream, which had a slightly sweet flavor, complementing the earthy green vegetables.

Service as you might expect was a little slow and the waitress walked away half way through out drink order but we eventually got food and and beverages ordered and fresh, hot, crusty bread was delivered to the table. The carbonara was out of this world. The guanciale was so crispy and salty and complimented the rich egg sauce perfectly. Meatballs were hot with a light sauce and a slice of bread underneath soaking up all the juices that would be a sacrilege to leave behind. I really enjoyed the 4 cheese pizza as well. I think thick, chewy crusts aren't for everyone but I like that style. The mix of cheeses gave a good flavor and little bite. I would definitely recommend it for the food especially if you need something on the earlier side.

As far as a choice of standout favorite between the perfectly-coated, crispy and not greasy fried fungi and the fresh, flavorful, dynamic salad, it's a draw. I couldn't get enough of either. The service was warm, friendly, and personable. My only regret is that we already have other plans for dinner tonight. Can't wait to go back!

A takeaway container was provided, but nobody informed us that there would be an additional charge. Only after we asked for some paper to keep the fried food separate did the staff suddenly mention a €1 service charge for packing. Since we ended up packing the food ourselves, we couldn't understand what service we were actually paying for. We were also left waiting a long time after asking for the bill. Even after trying to get the staff's attention several times, nobody came, so we eventually had to pay at the counter ourselves. When we questioned the extra €1 charge, we were only told that it was the owner's policy. We respect that restaurants can have their own policies, but they should be communicated clearly from the beginning, not after the customer has already requested takeaway. During our trip across Sardinia, this was the only restaurant that charged extra for takeaway packaging, and unfortunately it left a negative impression. Better communication and more attentive service would make a big difference.
