I had a few negative experiences at the Temple that ultimately made me leave the Temple. The Temple is mainly comprised of older members & generations of families have attended the Temple. That's not a bad thing per se, but issue the members are very old school & stuck in their ways. The committee members did not seem receptive to any type of feedback. I will say Sensei Ogui & his wife Miyumi were absolutely wonderful. They moved back to Japan a few years ago. I even went back & visited the Temple and was basically asked why was I there. My hope is the Temple will stay alive and younger, more forward thinking members will keep the Temple moving in a new, positive direction.

The friendly parking team and greeters make you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. Sunday service starts at 10:00 AM and usually ends around 12:00 PM or so. Sermons by Pastor Lao are charismatic and inspiring. The church is family-friendly, with a nursery available for little ones, including a changing station. After service, fellowship with snacks/meal provides an opportunity to connect with the congregation. A great place to spend a Sunday morning, worship, grow in faith, and strengthen your relationship with God.

The Seattle Temple is really gorgeous and is located in Bellevue, across from BCC…read more It is the 15th largest temple in square footage in the Mormon church. The grounds are large, with a garden, walking path down in front of the water fountain, and lawn surrounding the temple. At night, the temple is lit up and looks really different than in the daytime. Whether you're Mormon or not, you're welcome to visit the grounds and see the flowers, admire the architecture or come here for respite from the world. It's ok to take pictures, too.

While the area is usually quiet, I live right next to the temple and there's a serious ongoing…read moreproblem that needs immediate attention. The people at the temple have large German Shepherds that have gotten out multiple times and attacked other dogs in the neighborhood. It happened again tonight. These dogs are not secured. The gate in front of the temple does absolutely nothing to contain them -- they come and go as they please. These dogs are dangerous, not just to other animals, but to people too. If something ever happened to my dogs, I promise you it would not be taken lightly. I'm angry, and I'm scared -- and I shouldn't have to feel this way in my own neighborhood. Something needs to change before someone's pet -- or worse, a child -- gets seriously hurt.

If you do not speak hindi, Dr. Sanjay Shastri is able to speak, marathi, english, punjabi, and a little bit of nepali. I would highly recommend this temple to anyone. Wonderful place!
