However, to be quite honest, Sushi Wa wasn't what I would call one of my instant favourites. My first visit was actually not so much of revelation - I liked the decor, the nice service, but thought the food was only so so. Plus, I thought it was odd that a sushi place would also offer a partially Korean menu, such as bi bim bap. Now Sushi Wa has come to be one of our deafult take-away locations and funnily enough, the bi bim bap has become a favourite of mine. (To be sure, it's not amazing, but quite good.) My partner always orders the Mixed Chirashi and the rolls are generally also of very good quality.

The drinks came quite quickly, but the Coke was half Coke and half water. We ordered an special menu for 8.25 comprising two courses. We had to wait a bit for the starter as there were a few tables that came before us. Fair enough. We had the onion and cheese mushrooms and chicken strips. The mushrooms were too oily but the strips were ok. I realised some of the other tables got the main course shortly afterwards or with the starter. Our main was still on hold as we had to wait 20 minutes! The two waiters left, meaning all the six-seven tables were unattended a couple of times, making it imposible to order anything else or ask how much our food was going to take. Even one of staff working inside of the restaurant came outside asking if anyone was actually working there. When our mains finally came I was quite disappointed with my pizza (quite average) and my boyfriend's burger (was just ok). I had to stand up to ask them for our bill as they seemed to ignore everybody and a table of teenagers were left there waiting to pay for around 15 minutes. We were in a hurry, so only took 4 minutes to get the bill from inside, then go inside again, came for our cash that we handed at the moment of receiving the bill and finally we were able to leave. I will definitely try something different if I go again to the O2.

The menu features a select few items with carefully chosen ingredients. The results speak for themselves - perfectly cooked dishes, exceptional wine list, and enthusiastic service, all in a vibrant setting. Actually, it might be a little TOO vibrant - there are so many different pieces of art on the walls, it's a bit jarring! Other than the crowded walls, I'd certainly come back to Cantinetta for a meal. Hopefully the weather will be warm enough on a summer evening to enjoy the open terrace. Just sitting out there with one of their delicious bread baskets, a little dish of almost-green olive oil, and a carafe of Gavi, and I'm happy :)

I went with the Chicken Tikka Masala, and oh my goodness, it was absolutely bursting with flavor. I usually like my food with a good kick, so I asked for it spicy. While my personal spice tolerance is quite high (so it might not have felt super fiery to me!), the richness and depth of the spices in the dish were truly phenomenal. It wasn't just heat; it was a symphony of incredible tastes! And beyond the fantastic food, the service really knocked it out of the park. After we finished up, we were waiting outside for our ride, and one of the staff members actually came out to check on us! They wanted to make sure we were okay and even offered to help us find a taxi if we needed one. How incredibly thoughtful is that? It's those little touches that really make an experience memorable. Seriously, it was such a delightful visit from start to finish. I'm already planning my next trip back! This place is definitely a gem and I can't recommend it enough.

The staff are incredible busy which leads to easy mistakes, rushing and trying to kill 2 birds with one stone type attitude. My Tuna melt was put in the toasties machine with another sandwich, so they leaked on each other..... and then my chai latte with a shot of coffee was.... coffee-less and only had one shot of chai syrup. It is busy busy busy, but i was there at lunchtime. The queue was constantly and practically out the door (about 15-20 people long). I just felt sorry for the servers and the craziness. OH, and to add that it wasn't just a one off mix up with me. Whilst sat in there the man who sat next to me opened up his hot food , looked at it and took it back to the counter to be exchanged. Don't know the problem, but clearly they are just too busy and chaotic leading to easy mistakes.

The egg with the molten yolk at the bottom of the beans was a pleasant surprise. :) A very satisfying casual dining experience.
