While this is a relatively wee deli, it has quite a good amount of speciality food stocked, from Scottish products and fresh organic bread from Tapa in Dennistoun to dry and preserved goods from the continent. There's a wee cheese/meat/olives/salads counter, and I can say without a doubt that the Brie they have in is first-rate stuff. The coffee here is first-rate. The owner makes all the drinks, and he must know what he's about, because the espresso is fabulous, with a lovely roast. They also do daily specials in sandwiches and soup, usually containing the same products they sell. I've not had anything to eat in yet, but there's a counter and a couple of tables to sit at, should you want to. And, on top of all that, the prices are pretty reasonable (within deli standards), and the whole place is cheery and tidy. All in all, it's good to see an indie deli in this part of town, as Mount Florida's not got any others. To have it be a good one is even better!

We didn't get starters, and no puddings, but we really enjoyed the selection and choice for mains. My wife and I had the boneless platter and the kids each had 10 wings (one plain, one roulette!). The selection of sauces allowed me to hot the up on my plate. I love the garlic, mixed with lemon and extra hot. The perfect blend of heat and flavor. Most of us had chips, but we also had really creamy coleslaw and the mucho peas (gorgeous, by the way!). I do love the fact that they have unlimited drinks. Without that it can add a lot to your bill at the end of the day. Tip: As we work for the NHS, they gave us a generous discount on our bill! Excellent food, great value for money.

Garlic bread probably my least favourite side but it's been a while since I had it and it still is nice. Been a while since I've had a nandos so the extra hot was hard to take. But I triumphed in the end and enjoyed every minute of it. Delicious as ever, the consistency of nandos is great,they have a simple formula and they do it well. The piri chips are a must youre mad if you don't make that one of your sides. Nandos has steadily gone up in price and isn't as good value for money as it once was. But it still is cheaper than most place and when the chicken quality is as good as it is you can complain. And of course I picked the Extra Hot peri-peri level of spiciness (the hottest spice level available). My pita sandwich was good. The chicken was perfectly tender and the flavoring from the chicken combined with the garlic aioli complimented each other well. P.s. my food was definitely messy though. There is a drive thru facility and it's other main competitor is McDonald's accross the road. The food as the title suggests is based on chicken in different forms from chicken pops, family buckets which include chicken pieces, chips, sides of beans and coleslaw and usually a bottle of juice it is quite good value for a family. The prices are higher than the likes of McDonalds but the food is so tasty and hot that it is worth the money.

The fact that it is always busy, but you don't wait long to be served or to receive your food, is always a good sign in itself. Furthermore, the takeaway is a firm favorite among the locals aswell as those from outside Pollockshields, which is always another good sign. Whenever I'm in Pollockshields for a bit of Asian grocery shopping, I always make the now customary visit here. There are no seats, but the food is as authentic Pakistani as you will see. This combined with excellent, polite service and excellent food make this place so popular. A favourite is the samosas - triangular pastries stuffed with seasoned lamb mince and potatoes. The all important mince-potato ratio is perfect and these never fail to disappoint. Or you can try the Chapli Kebab - traditional patties which are made from ground seasoned mince, picture a large flattened burger. Slightly spicy, but delicious and very filling. The Chicken Hut Pollockshields, not to be confused for the Chicken Hut in Govanhill, also invented the kebab roll - a Seekh Kebab completely wrapped in a strip of home made pastry before being baked in the oven. The result is amazing, especially with some kebab or mint yoghurt sauce! Another of my favourites is the chicken fillet burger. This simple item is so often overlooked with so many other takeaways, not only in Glasgow but in Scotland, as they tend to use the pre made frozen chicken burgers, rather than preparing a fresh chicken breast fillet. These never disappoint either and the chicken fillet burgers are very morish. I always get mine with salad, mayonnaise a touch of ketchup and a cheese slice. I have not tried the pizzas or the curries, because the samosas and kebabs always take priority! They also do wraps, hoagies, onion rings, and other standard takeaway munch. I would honestly go as far as suggesting that this is the best takeaway I have been to in Pollockshields, if not the wider Glasgow area. The food is very simple but delicious, and the prices are also very modest. 2 Chapli kebabs, 2 seekh kebab rolls and 2 samosas will cost around £6, including sauce and salad. Well worth every penny. So if you're ever in the area, try it.

Dennistoun BBQ does super casual dining really well. You order at the counter and wait around 10-15 minutes (maybe longer if its super busy) and then they'll shout your name so you can grab your food. I have very specific taste in beef burger so more often than not, I start with a chicken burger at a new place before trying a beef one - I think chicken is generally done better than beef. This chicken burger was RIDICULOUS in size, it was mostly all hanging out of the bun as it was so big. Am I complaining? No way, it was absolutely delicious and had that juicy, smoky freshness from grilled chicken that so many places screw up by overcooking. It was hard to eat though so I ended up just aiming on eating the fillet rather than the burger. I tried a couple of sides; cajun fries and mac cheese. The cajun fries are amazing and probably the best I can remember eating in Glasgow. There was just the right amount of seasoning and they packed a good punch. You know what makes Cajun fries even better? Dipping them into mac cheese. Oh yeh, I went there and I'm not ashamed. My friend Sharon M wasn't all that impressed with the mac cheese but she is pretty judgemental (I mean that as a compliment, she makes a damn amazing mac cheese) - personally, I liked it.
