Second time here and I loveeeee their customer service, doesn't hurt that they're very friendly even to someone who is obviously a tourist haha. Definitely reccomend the butterfly chicken, medium spice, get a little kick of flavor and a wonderful blend of spice! 10/10 highly recommend!! Thanks Nandos!

Until recently I was a Nando's virgin, wondering what all the fuss was about. This branch of Nando's is huge, situated in Liverpool's Queen Square. It is bright and airy and is well decorated. The staff welcome you warmly as soon as you enter and show you to a table. They present you with menu's, ask for drinks orders and give you as much time as you need to decide what to order. The chicken I had here was moist, succulent and expertly seasoned. The portions are as generous as the prices are cheap. The service was excellent and I had a fantastic time. I will be going back again soon.

We all know what Nando's is like, and even those who have never been have a fairly good idea. You get chicken. You walk in, if you're lucky you get shown to a table, and that is where the service pretty much ends. From here on in, you are on your own. Waiter service is, for want of a better word, a bit crap. If you're in a group, you need to decide who waits at the table while everyone else orders and gets drinks and cutlery. Because, if you all go together, the chances are your table will be given to the next customers who walk through the door. Once you've ordered, you end up waiting for so long you start to wonder if you ordered at all. Once you get your chicken, it is nice, but not really worth the wait. Perhaps it would be better to order and nominate one member of the group to stay put while the rest of you go to the cinema...

Ever since my first visit to the Queen Square Nando's (one of two branches in the city centre) with the other in Liverpool ONE, I have never been disappointed. I always seem to go to this branch, because I like its interior design which gives the impression that you're in Iberia. Plus, the Portugese music adds to atmosphere (a little loud) if you're sitting right beneath the speakers but more importantly its the food and service that matters - impeccable! My favourite combination has to be the original plain chicken wings with chips and peas as a side. I usually order 5 wings which is normally enough for a lunch or more for dinner if I fancy! Their wings are just delicious, crispy and chargrilled on the outside and succulent on the inside. Always a winner! If you're stuck on what drink to buy, I would recommend the Mango Queuncher - its simply not too thick, pure and refreshing, ideal chilling down those spices (however hot you like your wings). Agnes, who recently served me was so welcoming and considerate. Overall, their service is fantastic and I would not hesistate to go back for more!

Big size one in Liverpool one . Good atmosphere fast service . Nice deco for Nando's. But its a ling time since i have anything free with my loyalty card. But its good place to pop in when you feel like chicken. Tip you can just get a glass for free ice & water if you dont want to pay for a soft drink. makes meal £8 insted of £10..

Nando's is a great chain which offers something completely different to each city, and this is a great branch of the Nando's chain! Located in Queens square, this is probably the cheapest and best value restaurant within this immediate area, and is close to some cracking pubs such as the Rat and Parrot and the Ship and Mitre. It's got everything that all the other Nando's has, infamous Peri Peri based flavours, bottomless soft drinks, a selection of beers and wines, authentic Nando's esque decor and great service! I would recommend this over any other fast food chains that plague the city such as McDonalds and Burger King, Wimpy and Shiraz, as the food is much better quality and there is a comfortable atmosphere at a really reasonable price! But if you want something similar, slightly more expensive and all around better, nip around the corner and try out the Tavern Grill, you won't be let down! (HUUUGE PORTIONS

Nando's and me. A love affair that blossomed despite our differences and the worst start imaginable. A place that allowed me to shed my prejudices like a snake sheds its skin and become a better, humbler person. The first time I came here, I actually walked out in disgust. I caused such a scene What JUST chicken???!! that my company trailed behind me in silence, upset that I was upset, and I became the party-pooper that night. Prima donna that I was. All that changed though. Like St Paul on the road to Damascus one evening, I saw the light. I don't know what possessed me perhaps some cosmic force, perhaps Quetzelcoatl the original feathered chicken-snake-man-whatever. But that night, I let my obsession with red meat slip off me and decided I'd try out some chicken. And it changed my life. Like going to the BBQ of the Madagascan uncle I never had, who grilled the chicken (skin included) in a lemon & herb flavouring a gentle coating that made me hungry for succulent chicken skin and succeeded in absolving me of my childhood squeamishness, something that a qualified therapist never could. And the sauces! Peri Peri in all guises garlic, mixed herbs, scold-your-colon-hate-yourself-in-the-morning hot to gentle-caresses-by-moonlight mild it caters for all. Peri Peri sauce is an aphrodisiac. It makes you feel better about yourself after digestion something about how the chemical works its way from your stomach to your brain and down to your crotch and makes you a better person. Like a normal version of you, but a thousand times sexier and with heightened awareness of the holy good Jesus light that comes from you and the other kindred souls who choose to come here for gastric nirvana. Do you know I now put Peri Peri in everything? Including pastas, toasts and hog. It makes everything taste better. That's why supermarkets now stock the stuff we're in the middle of a cultural revolution and you guys don't even know it. Soon, demand will exceed supply and there'll be a Peri Peri narcotics trade and we'll all be Peri Peri addicts, like crack addicts, but healthier and full of sexual energy. And to think, it all started from this place. I don't get it, all they do is chicken! - I still hear that from some people. Yes, but technically, all Eusebio - that other great Madagascan export - did was kick a football and yet look at what legacy he left us. Go in, get your menu, find your table, place your order at the till, and await the food. Simply thought out and simply executed. Colonel Sanders, for years you told us that chicken served fast HAD to come sizzled to death in a dune of breadcrumbs and oil. That stuff is surely full of toxins and carcinogens (comments are my own, and not based on sound science) but Nando's came along, and rewrote the rule books. Exposed you for a liar. Showed you how it's to be done. How those happy Madagascan people eat their chicken and wanted to share it with the world. I see the vision now. A piece of Madagascar, complete with palms and smiley folk, and great food and great sauces. If you don't like this place you are a loser and should never get laid. PS Bring friends along, enjoy the conversion.

    Yummy!

There is no replacement for quality and to be honest, I would rather walk across town to go here than to any old greasy take out even at 3am! The staff are always super friendly, and they do one of the best kebabs in town. Fresh, filling, mouthwateringly tasty. The litmus test of a good takeaway is if you're willing to eat it when you're sober and I'm more than happy to grab a curry or a burger from here any time of day! When they ask you if you want chilli sauce, the extra hot one, be aware that they're called Hot Chillis for a reason! Seriously spicy and flavoursome, my friend was once reduced to tears in a taxi on the way home after tucking into an extra hot sauced veggie kebab. Don't say I didn't warn you! They're more than happy to cater for veggies, falafel kebabs (yum!) and also, Halal food is available. Just the thing you need to end a long night out!

In general the price is good and the place looks smart enough that you are not worried about where exactly your food is coming from which gives you a good deal more confidence than provided by some takeaways I have encountered. I have to be honest and say that I have only ever drunkenly eaten kebabs here and by those standards it was okay, then again at those times any grub will fill a hole. In general a decent place and the staff are nice which is always good but I would say if your in the area it is worth overlooking Hot Chillis and making the trip to china town.

The first time I ever went to this place was when I was a student which is hard to believe given that I have been in Liverpool a long time. I can't find much to fault with the food and service which is good but beware that the deep fried chicken is very greasy so certainly not for the health conscious. Pizzas are generally good depending on one's taste. I once ordered a chicken and ham topping 9inch in diameter, which not only satisfied my taste buds but actually filled me up and I paid just £3. The crust was medium thickness with a crispy and rich spicy tomato sauce. The only negative I would note is that the interior décor is dated and there aren't many seats for it being the busy place it is.

This branch of Five Guys on Queens Square is one of two branches Five Guys have in the city, from…read morethe outside you can see it looks both bigger and better than the other branch on the top floor of the Liverpool One nearby, Having wanted to revisit Five Guys for a while after a good experience in Bradford and a not so good experience in Manchester, I thought this branch of Five Guys would be a good shout - and I'm glad I did. The service here was fantastic, to the point where I feel extra and special praise has to go to Gary for making my visit even more special, he made sure I was okay, helping with tables and even bringing my food over to me and providing me with a new bag and cutterly to take home my leftovers (the portion sizes here are huge!), he also helped offer recommendations and we began to chat a little, overall service was excellent. When ordering, I was also presented with a little piece of card to show what I could eat, and it seemed to include everything other than an HP sauce and of course the burger bun. The overall feel of the store was good, it had traditional Five Guys decor with the signs and bags of potatoes on the shop floor, but inside it did seem much nicer than the Manchester Arndale and Bradford branches I've previously visited. I ordered a Cheeseburger in a bowl, having disliked the lettuce wrap option as it seemed like it would be messy and make the burger cold, and the regular option with a bun wouldn't be suitable for me, the bowl did seem a little squashed and messy with a low of toppings, however, like all the cups/cutterly etc it was aimed towards takeout. The extras I ordered were: ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes, gherkins, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms, in my opinion, it was slightly messy but still most of it was good quality, other than the lettuce I found to be a little watery and the mushrooms a little slimy. My overall burger quality was good, although it could have been slightly presented better to avoid the cheese being slightly uneven, the portion size as mentioned was good with two thinner burgers rather than one big thick one, which some burger joints such as GBK use, I prefer the Five Guys approach. The fries also were great, despite ordering a small portion my bag was overflowing with fries, the cajun spices also added a nice flavour to it to make them even better, rather than the traditional seasoning used. The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine also is a pretty awesome, niche feature combining some of the most common Coca-Cola drinks from Coke (including all low sugar models) to Sprite to Fuze Tea, with my favourite fizzy drink being Sprite Zero, I combined this with vanilla to have an enjoyable beverage, I then combined vanilla with the fuze tea and also had a nice drink - for one cup it comes with free refills and with the quality of drinks on offer and the selection meaning you virtually can't get these drinks in any other stores or places, it is well worth buying a drink, and that comes from someone who generally prefers dining with tap water. Prices were slightly higher than you'd expect at Mcdonald's, and on par for a standard burger, my food came to around £11 but for the quality you don't mind paying those prices, this place is more of a fast-food restaurant than a casual or regular dining restaurant, although it does have quite a lot of seating due to the size of the store being large, slightly similar to what one would expect in an American diner, with tall tables, bar style tables and red booths. Five Guys also delivers via Deliveroo, however I find this service to be a tad overpriced compared to the general in-store experience, although out of all the restaurants on the site from Nandos to Pizza Express, I feel one of the few places actually suited to Deliveroo is Five Guys, so it is a good service to offer here, although the only time I'd ever think of using it would be when I'm staying in a hotel in Liverpool, not being from the area, and even then I'd be reluctant due to the delivery charge even to go such a short distance, for example they'd even charge the £2.50 or so delivery fee to go a short distance, although I admit this is not something Five Guys have control over with this being set by Deliveroo but it is still worth making note of. Overall, I am impressed with Five Guys, although it remains a real shame that unlike some "restaurants" which specialise in burgers including Handmade Burger Co and Gourmet Burger Kitchen, the latter actually has a branch in Liverpool's city centre in the One, the burger quality remains better and the same can be said about the service and the overall feel of this place, so despite flaws mentioned, the quality of food and service and the portion sizes (you probably get as many chips here as a large somewhere else) a four-star rating is surely warranted for Five Guys at Queens Square in Liverpool.
