There, we enjoyed a traditional Turkish breakfast featuring homemade preserves, fresh simit, warm pide, beyaz peynir, zeytin, and many other regional delicacies.
What made the experience even more memorable was the beautiful Turkish music playing softly in the background, creating an atmosphere that felt both nostalgic and deeply genuine. I suspected that the owners hailed from Southeastern Türkiye the moment I tasted one of the homemade jams--a wonderfully unexpected hot pepper preserve. Sure enough, I learned that they are from Malatya. When I mentioned my surprise, they graciously offered to replace it with their freshly made apricot jam. Yet, among all the delicious offerings, it was their homemade strawberry jam that left the strongest impression: intensely flavorful, perfectly balanced, and possessing a freshness and richness that no store-bought jar could ever hope to capture.
Of course, the service was impeccable.
