Sold them an iPad for an agreed price as grade A. It was 18…read moremonths old. had always been in a case & had a screen protector. They took it in the Shepherd's Bush store, checked it at the desk. They said no marks or scratches & just needs a tech test & you will be paid. Then phoned & said tech test was ok but back of iPad scratched so only grade B & they would pay £169. I agreed as I didn't want the hassle to go back & collect it . But I had photos showing no marks or scratches on the back. So I emailed them with photos challenging them. 2 days later they changed the story from scratches on the back to micro scratches on the screen & charging plug scratched. There was a case & screen protector on the iPad & the cable & plug were like new. THESE ARE THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF LIARS, THIEVES & CON ARTISTS. THEY MAKE UP STORIES TO MARK THE PRICE DOWN. WHEN I CAUGHT THEM OUT WITH THE PHOTO THEY CHANGED THE STORY. THEY JUST MAKE THINGS UP. KEEP AWAY. UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET ROBBED.

Eventually the girl who was working the register offered assistance. Turns out she was in training, which must be why she was being helpful. Hasn't picked up the missing customer service skills of the others. Since she was new she needed assistance to see if they had the one I wanted in stock. So she flagged down one the third guy who was supposed to come back earlier. I told them what I wanted and they didn't have the one I wanted in stock. Or the one on the display stand next to it. So I waited forever for nothing. And this is why brick and mother stores are going out of business and people use Amazon.

In pretty much regards it is a typical Boots store in terms of decor and product ranges, just a lot smaller. It does seem to be slightly busier than one would expect for a store of its' size, which is pretty common for London but still, the not very friendly staff and small store made the whole situation seem a little bit more unpleasant. Overall, this store isn't bad if you're just planning to put in a prescription and have a few minutes to spare as it is in a good location, but other than that there isn't too much to shout about, especially considering there's a larger store just under half a mile away around the corner on Queensway. 2*

Very prompt service (I walked into the shop and got someone to repair my oven the same day). Good pricing: flat call out rate of £60 which includes the first hour or work. Very pleasant repair man who diagnosed the problem quickly and sorted everything out. Recommended! (only gets 4 stars because the shop itself is a bit daunting)

They made contact when the repair was complete, on both occasions within the week. On the second occasion, the damaged solenoid that was causing the machine to blow fuses was taped to the machine for my inspection - very professional. Parking very nearby has also proved to be easy. From my two experiences I would wholeheartedly recommend W H Fox for their pleasant and economical efficiency at repairing electric/electronic kitchen equipment.

As well as ironmongery, they sell a wide range of kitchenware, kitchen electricals, and other household items. Great for torches, batteries, cleaning materials, plastic bowls, cooling fans and fan heaters - you name it. They have a fairly constant range of special offers, some of which offer very good value. Unfortunately, the wide range is the undoing of the small store in Earl's Court. The range is too wide, and therefore lacks depth, to really offer much choice. Sometimes they have what I want, but more often I make the trip instead to their larger store in High Street Kensington. That said, it has been useful for the odd emergency item and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful.

The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and, on the day of my last visit, were going beyond the call of duty to help and comfort a woman customer who had lost her handbag and shopping when the taxi she had arrived in drove off with her possessions still inside!

The converter was under lock, and we had to find a store employee to unlock for us... he could have been a little friendlier. Despite the employee's attitude, we were glad to find a the converter.

This is a great shop to get things you need around the home. They are usually competitively priced and have good stock levels whenever I've needed anything from there. The staff are very helpful and on the few occassions that I've had to return an item, they have been very good in either exchanging the faulty goods or providing a refund without any hassle. All in all, a store you can rely on for your household needs.
