This is the auto parts store I've used most since I moved to Delaware County from New York City about 11 years ago. I haven't been a frequent customer because I've had mainly new or newer cars that were under warranty; but when I have needed parts or automotive tools, this is the local store I've used most often.
For a relatively small store, this NAPA has a pretty impressive selection of parts. Most of the time they've had what I've needed in stock. When they haven't, they were able to either point me to another nearby NAPA that had them, or order them for next-day delivery.
You can also open an online account with NAPA and place orders for store pickup. Almost any part you need will be delivered to the store by the next day, or two or three days at most, preventing wasted trips. It's also faster than waiting for delivery from most online sellers. I've never had to wait more than one day.
All the store employees I've dealt with have been knowledgeable and helpful, both in-store and over the phone. They know their parts and are happy to explain the differences between the different grades of parts they sell. Yesterday, for example, they explained the differences between the different tiers of NAPA brake parts, as I hadn't used their brake parts before.
As for the parts themselves, I've had few problems with NAPA-branded parts. I had to return an EVAP vent valve for a Saturn about eight years ago, but that was the only time that I can recall offhand. It was exchanged with no drama. All of the other parts have worked fine.
Price-wise, the prices are a little lower than most other national brands, and a little higher than average online sellers. But when shipping costs for heavy parts like brake rotors are factored in, you'll probably pay less having your parts shipped to the store (as well as getting them sooner, usually on the next-day).
The hours could be longer. They close at 5:00 pm during the week and 3:00 pm on Saturdays, and are closed on Sundays. That's typical of most stores around here, but it still took some getting used to for me as someone born and raised in New York City.
The parking lot is small, but adequate. I've never not been able to park.
All things considered, I'm going to give this store five stars. The hours are really the only thing I would say could be improved; but because they're in line with local customs, I'm going to ignore that. The availability of practically any part you could possibly need within a day or two, the fair pricing, and the helpful staff outweigh the hours. read more
